- Our livestock guardians alerted us to something strange digging next to the house on a quiet summer morning. I started digging... saw a tail, and knew exactly what it was... hope you enjoy the video!
Nicely done, armadillo wrangler🤩
bucket list item #457... pull a angry armadillo from the earth. Thanks for watching!
Wow! Very good, nothing like a good farm girl…
You got that right!
You have more guts than anyone I have ever seen. LOL
Thanks for sharing that was cool! Love Your Dogs
I Miss My Great Pyrenees 🐾Lily 💔🐾😘
Thanks for watching!
I laughed out loud when you said "mad armadillo." haha. I also have a dog named Cheyenne. She is a white lab/dogo argentina mix. The best dog ever. She is thirteen and slowing down, but roams the property with me doing chores and caring for the garden, goats, and chickens. Never leaves my space. My watchdog. Your Cheyenne reminds me of my Pyrenes "Jonah." What a wonderful dog he was. Thanks for the laugh.
Glad you got a chuckle from that little angry guy
@@ChickaWoofRanch He sure was! Isn't it amazing the things we never think we will have to do when we live in the country? But when we have to, we just do them and laugh? haha.
Yep. I wish we kept a list of all the crazy stuff we have done. All so we can live out in the country.
So good to see ya'll back! Looking forward to more. :)
Good to be back. Thanks for watching!
You are a brave woman. I am having a problem with them now and I’ve tried everything to get rid of them
Guardian dogs?
@@ChickaWoofRanch they act like they don’t even hear the dogs.
@@TheOrganizedHomemaker same here. I guess our perimeter fence has done a pretty good job at keeping most of them out. Of course once they get onto our property then they can’t figure out how to get out. Then we have the situation you saw in the video. We’ve only had two make it onto the property in 7 ish years. How’s your fencing situation?
@@ChickaWoofRanch we don’t have one. We have 3+acres to fence and it is lower in the priority list. I have a roof that i need to replace first but it is next after it
I heard Pineneedles and mothballs work
I am so thrilled to see you guys again! You have made my day!
Aww thank you! Thank you for watching!
Dang…good job 👊🏻🙌🏼
Wendy, you are my hero!!
Glad to see your smiling faces again.
Hi Leslie! Good to hear from you!
Welcome back. Was hoping all was well with you all.
We are doing great! Thanks for watching!
OMGosh, Wendy!!!!!! I squeal when I find a budworm on my supertunias! You need to wear a Wonder Woman T-shirt when you tackle these adventures!!
Wendy is fearless when it comes to animals! Thanks for watching!
Now that was fun getting the armadillo out. I had a story about how to do that too. A story for another time...ha ha
We're gonna need to hear this story Lloyd!
That's her friend! Momma he wasn't eatin or killin so we are friends! 😂💝
LOL! Dang, you are one brave woman. That thing looked like it could do some damage with those claws. Nice snag on the cover.
I knew Wendy was gonna get that lid down... and if she hadn't it would have made for an even better video!
Omg all I can is you're brave girl..Wow! God bless! I wish you'd come to Florida and do that here to the one that's under my carport :(
You can do it! Grab that thing!
Great to see you guys again!!!! Missed you ....... I dont know how you knew that Armadillo was under all that dirt like that....I was amazed LOL
The dogs were being "weird" that morning and when I started looking around... I saw fresh dug dirt right next to the house. I looked inside the hole and spotted just the tail (thought it was another snake at first). Thanks for watching!
Yeah, this one’s got some guts. Good for you woman
How did you know it was an armadillo before you dug? I have three holes I don't know what is digging, and i keep disturbing it with a shovel and filling it in but what ever it is digs a new one nearby.....including under a slab of concrete I park on. I am in Palm beach Gardens, FL and not familiar with animals that borough here. I never see it and my dog is afraid of just about everything so she's no help. Any tips on how to trap (it)?
We dug down a little bit to see what was going on and found it wiggling around down there. I’ve never lived down south so I can’t advise you on your problem critter. Sounds like a armadillo though.
Whoa!!! Wendy you put Kenny and I to same 🤣
Wendy's not scared of a whole lot! Thanks for stopping by!
So happy you are doing more videos :)
Us too! More to come!
Hey y’all!!! Long time no see! Just FYI, that’s some mighty fine eat’n! Possum on the half shell!! 😋 Nice find too; that’ll make great shade. Thanks for sharing and don’t be strangers!!! 😊❤️🙏🏼
Hey Jerry! We are back!
You are the first female do a man job by pulling out an Armadillo from under ground. Awesome!!!!
once an animal lover... always an animal lover.
Wendy! You’re So Brave!!!🤣
Since found out they have teeth similar to a opossum... she doesn’t feel as brave. Ha!
Miss you guys hope to see you again very soon have a great day 💛
Yep! Thank you for stopping by!
Just turn the kennel upside down and shake it. Gravity will make it come out.
Have, for the first time, an Armadillo in our yard. Will get a trap an move him to a new neighborhood. Thanks
They are destructive little things!
Absolutely love it lol
That was SUPER BRAVE. Where was Troy at he didn't even close the lid.
Wendy got this! Besides, if it got away... it would have been a better video!
I'm scared but happy😁
Now we know why leprosy is running ramped the south. Do these people really not know that these animals carry leprosy?
And how could you find one?
i miss you guys and miss your goats videos
Oh thank you! We have a few videos planned.
How do u know what hole will b n
Dogs told us
They carry serious diseases. Like leprosy. You were very lucky he didn't scratch you.
Thus the cut proof gloves.
i almost forgot i was subbed to you guys/gals.. hope everything is good with you inside all this stupidity going round.. you know when i lived in texas, it was said the armadillos were a source of leprosy.. never looked that one up, maybe later.. happy chickens.. enjoy the day --- madd
Yep... hadn't made a video in a while. It's good to be back! Thanks!
Both Armadillos and Opossums can give humans really bad diseases.
From research I've done on Armadillos the male will have more than 1 mate. Each female will always give birth to identical quadruplets everytime. I have also witnessed a male trying to free a female from a trap! I wished I'd have that on video.
My landlord doesn't believe that they can cause structural damage to her house. (Personally, I see thing's happening to her house. Which she seems to be ignoring.) Armadillos will have 1 main hole, and often dig several in multiple area's. (If I remember correctly up to 5 area's) For nesting, etc.
When I first moved in this home, after trapping into the teens, I lost count of trapping both species. Eventually, rarely see any.
By the way, if you intend to trap and release, make sure you bring them a minimum of 5 miles away, or they come right back.
As for opossums, they often use an abandoned armadillos hole.
In my opinion the only best thing about this species is they are nearly immune to Lyme disease! It's my opinion Scientist should be studying how they are immune to Lyme.
(Still learning about both.) Only because I have had to deal with so many!
Opossums can be quite mean.
I have learned what deters these species, includingother animals, skunks, etc. : they don't like the smell of Ammonia! So I use particular containers that are easy to stabilize. Using a nail punch to poke holes high up around container. Then carefully pour a bit of Ammonia into container, cap it, stabilizer. (Periodically add mor Ammonia. Place under bushes and such. Including under shed.
I no longer have to trap either species.
If you are using Ammonia just be careful to not spill on plant's, grass, tree's you don't want to kill.
Miss you, come back
We are gonna do our best! It's nice to be back
Bad idea
What would you purpose?
benne vidéo merci
Thank you for watching!
Hmm, they're cuter than when they're inside out.
We haven't had any... I did have some la lengua de vaca a couple weeks ago... that count?
That's still cuter than road kill. That's all I've seen of those things.
Wow she’s tough lol
And fearless!
Can you please come over to my house. and help me catch mine!
Be happy to help if you live around the 67026 area
no armadillos in Idaho thank god
We don't see them very often... they can cause some serious damage... real quick.
Here in Texas, plenty of em !
Wendy do you think they can do damage to a (slab) home foundation ?
Thx - David
For sure! They are excellent diggers
@@ChickaWoofRanch
I wasn't wanting to hear that.
I need to get another dog to keep em at bay. Our cats just watch them...!
