Not going to argue about any part. What I WILL say is that I had a leaking liquid line service valve and I used his 410...and it worked...... No more leak! Can't beat the fix for the price.
This seems like a good idea but really, on those domed valves you can cut the dome off - just above the cap threads then back the slug out and change the ring.
True. You could also cut out the bad valve and braze in a new one. But either way means you'd first need to recover the charge, make the repair, pressure test, evacuate, and recharge. The point here is avoiding all of that.
I have put in a new O ring and a washer before putting back in the snap ring. It did not stop the leak. The pressure is too great on the high side. This is why he did not sell his kits. No short cuts just replace the valve is the way to go.
Al, ask a question, when I finish repair the king valve leaking by replacing a harden o-ring, but not put back snap ring for the easier future repair, you think it is fine ?
Hi, Al thank you for your video for repairing Service Valve leaking problem, by the way where we can order those snap ring and O ring only? Is it kit there or just rings sell themselves..?Thank you for your information regarding this video!

Good way to fix it, but the most important things here are not talked about: where do you get the r-ring and steel rings? Without the parts everything talked here is nothing.

Mary if you put a new O ring in the valve you didn't use the SEAL 410. Be very careful removing the plug, what washer did you use? Al

What about the Bryant valves with the valve stem sticking up and a slotted collar holding it in instead of a snap ring
