Joe O'Connell is a joy to hear speak. He combines both unsurpassed knowledge of his subject and the ability to deliver it with the accuracy and effect of a Hamars salvo. Marcus and Joe are some tag-team. Again, bang on the nose! Brilliant interview - thanks again for this great work.

Myth and legend will always accompany the life and death of Michael Collins. It's inevitable, given the situation he was put in by Dev. He is and always will be my Hero.

A Very big thank you to both of you . I have certainly expanded my knowledge of Michael Collins & the situation in the country from that period . Difficult times in more ways than one it's a wonder that the country survived at all with all the pulling & draging . I think that this video should be seen by everybody who has an interest in Ireland . I take my hat off to J.A E O ' Connell & Marcus .

A statue in O`Connell street to an fear mor would be the ultimate tribute to the founder of the modern Irish state as it's now one hundred years later and it's the only way that we can sincerely say Go raibth maith agat.

There was several murders of Republicans immediately after the death of Collins. Colley and Cole, two Fianna officers, were brutally murdered by former Squad members at Yellow Lane. The sad death of Collins did see the start of Oriel House / Prov Gov to become more hardline. Tadhg Kennefick was murdered a few weeks later by General Emmet Dalton’s men; the Clondalkin Murders, believed to have been carried out by Charlie Dalton; Michael Neville and McEvoy, all murdered within weeks of Collins’ death. There was only two murky deaths before the assassination of Collins; Joe Hudson and Boland. After it, over 130.
