The smooth sandy walls and floors in the washrooms is called "Nero" as per Italian style of italian finishing popular in Malindi, watamu and Diani. Some aggregate is mixed with limestone and cement to give that look. But the maintainance is usually tideous and stains easily.

Beautiful, massive property. So much space, so much greenery, great views and no sight of neighbors despite being in the city. It's definitely a gem. However, I'm not a fan of the balustrades. I feel like they cheapen the property and make it look like a school. The facade is also a bit boring to me. I can definitely see where the designer was going with the Mediterranean/ Swahili style, but I don't think it translated very well. But these are all things that can be fixed with some renovation and a good architect & interior designer. I love the rooms and the reading nooks 😍 I would definitely buy this home and renovate, if I had the extra millions 🥲
That expanse of land, the location and more so in tune with nature is a good deal for such property having in mind how land prices have gone up exponentially in Kenya. My only concern is do snakes pose a risk in such environments since its a forested area?

@@MrMajani this is a gated community which means there are regulations. You can’t build 10 houses here. Smallest plot is half acre. And just so you know the Neighbour is constructing just one unit on 4 acres. Mambo ya ku squeeze 10 units ni huko Ruiru Mugutha!

This is definitely an acquired taste. If you ain’t into Mediterranean architecture you won’t appreciate the house. However, I still feel like it can be renovated into the modern age without losing its Mediterranean identity. We need water features, a proper foyer, the first floor should be redone into bedrooms that make sense, have a spacious landing and lounge. Enes showcases a handful of contemporary Mediterranean properties that make sense in this generation. That said, it is well priced overally. The other structures in the property, the acreage, the location, the square footage of the main house justify the price.
