Ruth Rocks! That is great research in how we can overcome the pervasive need to follow the average. Tap into your intrinsic motivation, look for different perspectives when facing a challenge, perfect your technique, become a lifelong learner.

Love the push to get beyond prescriptive lists of rules that work for one person and not another - especially as one of the night owls Ruth Gotian refers to in her talk. Humane and thoughtful advice.

Dr. Gotian, What an inspirational Tedx talk! Even after years of following my intrinsic motivation, like a broken-field runner, I can get bumped off the path and get disoriented. I LOVE the reminder to honor my purpose and ask "What is the strategy I have not thought of yet" to get there. Great insights, thank you!
