Hey Derka, I've just realised you're back. Welcome back. I think you know how much we love your videos. On the Chakalov vid, I'm in the 'I hate cv's' camp. It's just the sitting duck aspect that peeves me. We need some way to actively control the AA so we can shoot back at em. Thanks for this video, it helps to know how to maximize strengths of the ship. It seems campaign reward ships are getting consistently 'vanilla'.
Z23 gets 5 150mm guns with 2 in front. You could also just leave the 128s on her but the added gun adds to dpm in interesting ways. Additionally the twin 'a' turret get like 30mm front plate so most destroyers cant knock it out easily. German destroyers are the jacks of all trades. This means to play them well you must understand your opponents weaknesses and force them into a plays that allow you to exploit them.
I bought the campaign before watching this video but I've been enjoying destroyers so much that I'm happy I'll have a new one in my collection! Great vid derka! 💚
Love your channel Derka I don’t always agree with you(Pommern is fine lol) but I find I mostly do so keep up the good work. Also I don’t get it either that many battleships sinking so quickly it seems to be the norm now.

@@DerkaGames nay - Pommern has essentially the same secondary battery as Bismarck & Tirpitz (mix of 105’s and big 150’s), but The Legends Devs have weirdly denied full 1/4 pen to the vast majority of German warships - with only exceptions being T-8 FDG, T-8 Cruiser Roon 🤣, and the newish Scharnhorst-43’, at T-7. ALL other secondary 105’s they have at a special 1/5 pen adjust (21mm), for ‘reasons™️’ never really explained fully to any of us…
When I tried this for the first three games of having it I built it like Maerker and the velocity of the shells mixed with the lack of damage per salvo really hurt the overall dpm. So I run it like z-52 and it’s performing much better. Better at cap contesting.
You can help your turret traverse by switching out Mordoff for BA Sunaookami Shiroko. Assuming max levels, you'll lose 2% on your reload for an increased turret traverse of +1.2°/s. Personally, I think it is worth the tradeoff since 2% for a DD reload only amounts to fractions of a second. It doesn't matter what you're DPM is if you can't get your guns on target.
@@DerkaGames Isn't that always the case though? 😄I have a bunch of commanders I'd love to have at 16/4, but it's long road to get there. If you think about it, they designed max level commanders and legendary modules with the same idea of keeping them limited in the game (also the reason the 4th perk slot takes so much to max out). I do understand doing that though.
Campaigns and premium days are the only thing I spend money on in this game. I try to get through campaigns quickly, it's the only way I collect steel to upgrade my favourite ships with epic and legendary mods.
Nice video. The best part of the suite for this ship is the sonar. Everything else is mid. From the 4 guns to the meh torps, she doesn't scream damage dealer so I think that alone clouds the ship a bit because I think we collectively chase damage (which we should to an extent). If her reload was 3.5 vs 4 I think the overall package would be much more appealing IMHO. I still bought her because T7 DD's make credits.. and I agree re: Campaign being best value in game ... cheers
Way different, Alt line is all about medium to long range gun fighting with the best destroyer AP in the game and the most accurate guns in the game. They're big, slow and tanky AF. Schonberg is more HE focused while the Alts are AP boats through and through. Torps sucks on both, but schonberg has the better torps. Schonberg is more of a cap contester with smoke sonar combo and, dare I say, jack of all trades, while Alts like Maerker are more of stand off gun platforms used for farming with guns.
Time will tell if i complete this campaign lol. Boat doesn't seem to bad. Definately not a Somers 😂 Gimmicky is definately a good word to describe this game now a days. Way too many planes in my boat game 😂 Ggs🍻

What if you ran it with blue as capt, spec into the torps and make it a zoning boat? It's what I did with my zf6 and it catches people off guard. They expect me to gun boat but they end up with a face full of torps every 45 sec.
The difference here is that ZF6 has powerful torps with a big alpha damage And they’re faster. Schonberg torps are honestly some of the most lackluster at T7.
I'm ok with campaign ships being mediocre, I just want a somewhat unique gameplay experience to come with it. Although, I wish we could sometimes get the occasional tier V or VI campaign ship.
I don’t think one less gun is too much of a difference. Either no perks or modules, the Shonberg has 4 guns 5 second reload, the Maerker has 5 guns 6 second reload. That’s only 2 shots less per minute.

ZF6 has better DPM barely with HE, but massively with AP, and its AP has improved pen angles and can be used to melt enemy DDs. ZF6 has much better torps, better AA, is slower by 1 knot, better turning circle, same rudder, and is 300 meters more stealthy. It has smoke and reload booster. Schonberg has a bigger HP pool by 5500 and a super strong 5.6km sonar
Legends need to unleash all of its ships consumable like pc. Legends team need add key binding function controllers buttons to use them. When i took the idea to feedback along time ago. Discord community doesnt like it. Once i get a pc. Im gonna switch to pc version instead.

I mean I get it, they needed a ship they could throw away for the free admiralty backing if you haven’t played in a bit but cmon man, atleast leave the poor thing at t5
I agree with the copy/paste B ships this year. Boring and nothing different from their original versions. I'll take this boat as a campaign ship over Lushun any day. Or imagine if they switched the Chklov in as the campaign ship and this one as the GXP ship 😐

Yeah I agree with you that it is mediocre. But you can always have some good games with it. Personally my favourite dd line is the alternative pan-european. I like that good HE and it's fast torpedos.
I have lots of tier 7 DDs but I haven't got round to any of the German ones yet only at T6 for the alt German DD line 😂 so I am actually quite excited and its a nice distraction from not being able to get USS Black

Its the difference between 105,600 to 132,000 HE DPM. Put another way its like ZF6 vs Tashkent in a heads up gun fight. Tashkent wins everytime
