I feel like the Birthday is a little bit cheaper this year. By that I mean in store we get less crates to buy for Drachmas and I think there were less crates in the Hunt.
If this was meant for just veterans and not veteran whales, there would be an option to use the THOUSANDS of flags and especially the thousands of speed only flags.
On top of the ''Schill incident'' it's the Borodino, way too expensive AND grindy; not to mention the P2W commanders of BA and last but not least, the Tirpitz of dreams behind paywall.
I had 465 mil silver, I had 2500 prem days, 4500 promo-orders, I got the Schill with little silver and no XP at all. Its a good ship, really accurate , but god everyone comes after you !
No in war thunder you have an actual chance to get the things, if not you dont need to spend half a thousand on a single tank or jet (Nobody cares about naval)

I got mine with almsot entirely promotion orders, at this point in the game I don’t really have too many commanders that need to be leveled up anymore. I still have about 1500 POs left over, and I also used 400k free xp. I got this ship entirely for free, you get focused extremely hard tho when you use it haha so take that into consideration for a little while
Well, I took it into consideration awhile, and you don’t get it for free when you whale your commanders and premiums to get that amount of resources. F2P math would never allow it. Show us your commanders and Premium ships and I’ll tell you if you got it for “free”free”.
@@nvs4u2 I’ve been playing this game for 5 years. I only have 2-4 maxed out commanders per nation because I realized that’s all you pretty much need, so I’ve been stockpiling POs for a long time. The only consistent money I spend on this game is I buy the 2500 doubloon admiralty backing every month and grind through the campaign, I’ve never once bought out a campaign. Every once in a while I will buy a premium ship but I never buy a premium ship bundle just the ship itself. So yes I got it for free, meaning not a single cent came out of my bank account when I got the schill.
I don’t understand why anyone would spend any money on this ship when you could spend significantly less to get 4 other tier 7 ships on offer currently.
The players who can get Schill for otherwise worthless excess resources (mainly premium days and promotion orders in the thousands), will already have those ships.
Full disclosure - I’m a long time player and I was able to convert enough resources for Schill. Do I need it to enjoy Legends? Absolutely not . . . but with an excess of resources, why not? I learned early on that FOMO is a real thing, and with a game that has monthly cycles I think it’s easy to fall into that trap. I frequent the Reddit page and the number of ‘when will x-ship or y-ship come back?’ posts is silly. Same with ‘what will the next campaign ship be?, when we’re only a week into a new cycle. Hey, speculation is fun, but don’t let it ruin your experience. Don’t let the fear of missing out take over. Kudos to you for pointing out that this can be a free to play game, or that some super sweet deals pop up from time to time. There are so many options and so many avenues to explore.

I have faced one in a match in a Shimanto. She was pretty tight with the shots and well armoured on most angles, but the player was the biggest influence in how well the ship performed at the end of the day. Every advantage is an advantage, so I was glad I had better concealment and range on my torps.
I was thinking that this makes Gaijin who made War Thunder seem better than Wargaming, but then I remembered the Gaijin marketplace and how a 700 dollar ship on WoW Legends doesn’t even compare to the IS-7 or E-100 which are over 1000 Dollars. The last E-100 I think sold at 2000 USD! These freemium games are going WAY TOO FAR!! Still I think Gaijin is slightly better than Wargaming. At least Gaijin actually sometimes listens to the player base, but still… CRAZY!
Not too mention you can face an Enterprise at trier 6 now. Was having a peaceful sail in a York until I got focused but an Enterprise. So absurdly bad times were had. Tier six is in such a weird place now
Lol I got this..... but I am such a long timer on this game. Bought a years worth of premium and had built up 675 premium days. Used that for one segment. Had over 550 million in silver. Used that for the rest! I'm happy and I'm not a whale yay!
They did give us a small consolation. You can get an old campaign ship for not a lot of money... if you happen to not have them. And if you do you get t4 rio... yay? Ill be honest the more feel bads wowsl throws the less im inclined to spend. The funny thing is that once fomo stops working the vast majority of their marketing also stops working.

As one of, if not the largest whales in this game, I do not recommend getting Schill unless you have the spare currency around. For those that know me and used to count my decades of premium time, it was a good use of a completely useless currency in this game, it's not worth it unless you are dumping excess stockpiles. What they should do and give us.a crafting station at the end of each update so we can convert elite XP and silver for usable resources, like commander progression items and boosters. Or use elite XP to unlock tech tree ships
I have never whaled. Never purchased any crates. Buy about half the Admiralty backings. But have played since day 1 with >12,500 games, 95% of those in DDs, >3k in one ship. I would guess that I am one of if not the lowest cash spent to games played in my Clan, Pain's Armada. My point... I have enough promo orders, silver & global stored up to buy the Schill. For players like me, it's a free ship. Bit of a bargain. But I'll give it a miss, waiting for a DD to appear in Crafting Station after everyone has spent all their resources on this...

Same I love this game it's one of a kind really there's nothing else like it so I'm ok with most of the monetization but this is just insane and I'm someone who spent two years playing this game just to get Alabama(it's why I even started playing this game)
Personally I had over 2.5k premium(6yrs worth and hated every time I looked at it) and 3mil gxp….after getting the Schill I have over 1k premium days and 1mil gxp. So I still have 3yrs worth and enough to hopefully get the next gxp ship. But that adds up fast
I had over 3,000 premium days so used most now have over 1 year a few orders, silver, GXP, got the ship, Noq I saw Tommyboy post a video he thinks this was made this way as a resource dump, for players who yes had a lot. But it was to rebalance the economy, as his thinking is if not this next up date the one after WG may release a new GXP ship, or something. This whole update while fun seems like a resource getting as the Campion creates give crates that have resources, and now dumping, I think that Tommyboy is right this is an economy reblance.
I’ve said this before but even though I’ve been playing since day one, I took a break. Missed the Wichita, Somers and Ochakov campaigns so I’m still grinding ships. I have a nice nest egg but I still need to spend on things. I opened up that crafting station and my eyes almost fell out. I’m wondering if something big is coming up in the fall and Christmas and this is a way of depleting everyone’s stash.
This sucks because this ship looks fun as hell. I am guessing this ship will probably be a GXP ship next year alongside Louisiana becoming a research ship for free…or they will probably just make it a crate ship because why not? I kinda hope they make a permanent crafting station event where in you can actually just play the game and get different kinda ships in the background. Something like the dockyard event in the PC version.
I really wish I could have picked Schill up, but when I saw the conversion rates I was baffled. I don’t really understand how more than 1% of players would have that kind of currency just lying around 😂
So i build model ships. I also just started playing this gam. I really wanted the USS Atlanta in game. Wargaming wants $40ish dollars for a digital ship...the acutal high quality model of the Atlanta is $107...i laughted at wargamings prices. Maybe cause i just came over from helldivers 2 where the most expensive thing is $10. But who ever made this game is out of his mind thinking people will pay any more than $20 on ANYTHING
Shill is the pay to lose version of the Siegfried in my eyes, I almost have 50% of the crafting station in resources, I looked at it and I don't see a real use for this ship, while it's probably going to suffer more than Sieg, guns are smaller, if you need to angle, you only get one turret pointing forward, and let's compare it to Sieg, Congress Azuma and Cherbourg, Schill can't compete.
Honestly, I got it down to 10,8km detectability. If you manage to ambush anything broadside and take thé reload booster schill is deadly. You can't straight UP overmatch liké Siegfried or enjoyable improves AP like Azuma but it's quite unique and Can be really good. However it's severely overexpensive
Wargaming crafting scheme is literally, technically and legally robbing us legends players of our doubloons, global xp, promotions and silver. Although i can afford to get schill using only silver, damn thats my 2 years savings of playing just to earn well over a billion of it. But im really tempted to get the flag and poseidon and spend 80 million silver. Damn thats expensive, i can buy and unlock 3 tier 8 ships at that cost. The only way we can acquire the things on crafting station is this time only, and that is the trade off of spending on crafting scheme.
Agreed, IN THEORY the Crafting Station is a good idea. But I'm another person who thinks the pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Been playing 4+ years, amassed quite a pile of POs - which would barely dent this even if I went All In. If you get halfway, you get three whole Insignias. Three. Golly, like I don't get that every second or third crate these days. 700 camo sounds like a lot, until you figure that this is about what you'd use to fully Perma-cam ONE ship. One. Finally, I cannot help but wonder about the name choice of "Schill" (Shill?). Was HG being utterly clueless or just mind-blowingly snarky there? I'm not sure.
I get annoyed when i see comments of people acting like these resources are basically meaningless and everything. Like people who have thousands of premium days, that shit just didn't magically appear on your account, you probably spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars to acquire that much. So to act like you're just giving up these free resources that cost you nothing is a terrible mindset to have. Whether or not you equate that stuff to money doesn't change the actual cash value of it.
Doubtless many have spent a lot of money at this game. Nobody disputes that. Still, having an excess of premium days have been literally worthless. So they did get Schill with resources that would otherwise be worthless. And long terms players, who played this game *a lot* for 4-5 years, could very well have 4-5000 promotion orders. Even without spending more money then getting admiralty backing for all campaigns. And having that much promotion orders while all commanders they want to use is level 13 or more, also makes most of that excess worthless (before Crafting Station). So both is true. Many spend money, and many amassed such large amount of excess resources that they could never use it for anything (rendering the excess otherwise worthless). And also, you come of as someone complaining that some choose to spend money at the game. You know, the ones who keeps the servers running and the game existing at all for all of us. If WG throws in a very small extra thing for them after five years, it’s more than a little petty to rage about that, no?😃
@@cusowski6432 We’ve all been there as new players. After more then four years playing the game (a bit to much😅) I was at 5600 promotion orders. With all commanders that I use leveled to at least lvl.14. If you keep playing the game a lot for years, and get admiralty backing for campaigns (which gives you a ton of resources every time), you’ll get there to.

I played a girl yesterday crawled 2 schill cruisers they didn't stand a chance my main guns, torps and secondaries chewed them up air is a campaign ship and still the boss
The problem with this is no one asked for gxp, everyone wanted it to use elite xp, im a 4 and 3/4 year player and i have abt 7 mil elite xp which would be useful if i actually had the money to spend
I have been playing the game for five years. I have taken one 9month break from the game once, and several small 1-2months breaks, for a total of 4k games. I have 2.4million GXP and 89million silver. That gets me to 60%. This is stupid.
So I've figured that for me (what I'd spend vs what I have): 900/1415 premium days 2500/3537 POs 750k/2.6mil GXP I'm not sure I'd play the ship enough to make it worth it, but what am I gonna do with 1400+ premium days?
What were you expecting? It was announced as a resource sink for long time dedicated players with an abundance of otherwise worthless resources. It looked even more expensive in resources in the teaser video then it was when implemented. So, honest question: What did you expect?
Not sure if I agree that this is for 'extreme whales' only. I have played since day one, have bought a total of 3-4 premium ships, rarely buy premium days (currently have 15 days on my account) and never buy crates or commanders and yet I can afford to buy Schill with the 3,400 promotion orders I have accumulated along with some of the 3.9 million in gxp that I have (seems I can never decide which gxp ship to buy lol) and some silver. Having said that, I agree that the conversion rates are ridiculous and personally don't think it is worth it for me to spend so many resources on one ship.
Dang, I've played since day 1 and don't have near that many promos. I do have every commander in the game though, and most all of them are leveled past 13. Maybe that's where I went wrong
A bit over 4 years playing. Paid for 90% of the Schill with premium days (still have 2 1 2 years worth of Premium days left) payed the last 10% with Promotion orders. Im just happy I could do something with premium dsys.
@@jorgeguanche5327 must of got better pulls from chest. My luck is so bad atm, this entire Greek update so far, I have not gotten a single ship or premium tines. Just commander xp, some credits and insignia not even promos. I don't think I broke 1.5 million in credits from them either (I'm total).
Puerto Rico was a trash boat to mediocre boat for similar resources and values but worse. It was supposed to be a normal campaign it because a nickel and dime fest
Its ment for people who have played for a long time AND SPENT A TON OF MONEY ALREADY. Not for free to play. NOTHINGS FOR FREE TO PLAY PLAYERS (reward wise). Rewards now a days are either for whales or newcomers, not for long term vets spending little to no money.

The ship isn’t for average players. Like it’s for those who had a lot of resources laying around from playing over the years. I think it’s good that not everyone can get it cause there continues to be issues with new ships flooding the game when they come out.
Here's a thought allow the player to use event currency such a drammons on this once the event ends. Or the christmas and halloween currency. No lets continuously rip off our player base. Wargamng and ships is the most aggregous, overpriced scammey game and company I have ever seen. You hardly ever get what you pay for. The only bundle that had reasonable value was the texas 10$ bundle. Other than that, complete rip-off!
Ok, I love your content, and overall you come across as a good person, but I'm gonna take on the heel role here. You are just objectively wrong, and your vid title is extremely clickbaity and misleading. Among other things that I'll address later, to be a scam there has to be some sort of fraud, and WG has been extremely upfront and honest about this event. They put up a product, and an explicit price tag with no deception at all. Compared to containers, random bundles, and the auction house, this event is positively refreshing for its honesty (and that's coming from a veteran player who can't even reach the guise with my current "stockpile"). Some players have been begging for *years* for a resource sink, and this was the path WG chose to fulfill that. Personally it's not the way I would have done it, but it's still fine. People are acting like this is somehow exploiting people or it's some sort of scam/scheme, but to me it all just reeks of entitlement from the playerbase. Did nobody notice that at the exact same time they also added Windrose bonuses to every ship after tier 4 that give people stuff for free, just for playing the game? Seriously, it's not much, but it's 100% free, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't even announced, just "Hey, here have some more free stuff".

I hope they bring back the Schill in the future through other "standard" means so more players will be able to get her, but seriously this community is unbearable sometimes with the things they decide are the hill they want to die on. This event *isn't for the average player*. That's why they did it at the same time as they are also throwing a huge amount of free stuff at us. Look at everything else that's going on right now entirely for free. Calendar, Treasure hunt, windroses, and the birthday bundle from the store. It's almost like they knew people would "get offended" by the crafting station, so they *added a TON of free stuff along with it to make it up to the player base. Does anyone in this community think for one second that the devs are so detached from reality that they thought that this event would create enough new whales to justify the anger it was absolutely 100% was going to generate in the player ase at large? This is so blatantly obvious what's going on that even I can see it, and I don't particularly think I'm overly smart. They did this even to drain the resources of the already existing mega whales so that those whales are more inclined to continue whaling. Is it a dirty tactic in my eyes? Sure, but it's also an effective one, just look at F2P mobile gaming. They make insane money, and yet it's only like 1-2% of their players that ever spend *any* money. If you keep the whales happy and spending, you don't need everyone else to be buying things, and the game gets to continue developing and improving entirely free for the vast majority of the playerbase.
Hearing people say "It's for the long term players with an overabundance of resources" is ignoring one factor. It is creating a divide in the community, which is never the move.
Timed exclusives, pay to win items, crate gambling etc. are normal for F2P games so if you’re looking for fairness then F2P is not meant for you. Veteran players and whales will always have advantages. WoWs Legends has never been fair anyways. OP ships like Somers CE and Wichita CE are no longer obtainable. Others like Lenin, Jean Bart, Mainz etc. are obtainable in crates but unless you’re extremely lucky you will have to spend thousands of $. Some purchasable commanders also give advantages over the free commanders, and AL Atago is not even obtainable anymore for new players.
This games has always been divided between constantly whining potatoes with entitlement issues and adults (I’m talking mental maturity here, not chronological age).😃
On my xbox ive played and saved a lot of resources...not a bad ship with plenty of resources to spare...not so much on my playstation... which is my mostly free to play account...

I’ve been playing for 4 years, buy almost every campaign (maybe missed 5-6), spent way more real money than I should have on random things, and even if I had enough I wouldn’t spend this amount of resources. They’re too valuable and I wouldn’t be surprised if WG comes out with something that causes a lot of buyer’s remorse on dropping so many resources on a tier VII.

It's designed to deplete your supplies in all categories. This way they make people start spending cash money on the game again. Their sales had fallen off drastically. Not much revenue coming in. So be scammed or just ignore the crafting. I'm ignoring.

@@DerkaGames While I kinda agree, the flaw in your thinking is giving monetary value for resources people already own, but can't never ever use. Or at least they SHOULD own. Only a complete idiot buys them now. So, the value of an unusable resources used to be zero, now it's two ships and a bunch of goodies. A valid argument would be that WG will repeat this kind of event and make people buy stuff just for the sake of it. That would be predatory (and will probably happen 😅). P.S. Personally I don't have enough resources for Schill, so it's not for me and I stopped to the Super V crate.

I got mine with almsot entirely promotion orders, at this point in the game I don’t really have too many commanders that need to be leveled up anymore. I still have about 1500 POs left over, and I also used 400k free xp. I got this ship entirely for free, you get focused extremely hard tho when you use it haha so take that into consideration for a little while
Well, I took it into consideration awhile, and you don’t get it for free when you whale your commanders and premiums to get that amount of resources. F2P math would never allow it. Show us your commanders and Premium ships and I’ll tell you if you got it for “free”free”.
@@nvs4u2 I’ve been playing this game for 5 years. I only have 2-4 maxed out commanders per nation because I realized that’s all you pretty much need, so I’ve been stockpiling POs for a long time. The only consistent money I spend on this game is I buy the 2500 doubloon admiralty backing every month and grind through the campaign, I’ve never once bought out a campaign. Every once in a while I will buy a premium ship but I never buy a premium ship bundle just the ship itself. So yes I got it for free, meaning not a single cent came out of my bank account when I got the schill.
I don’t understand why anyone would spend any money on this ship when you could spend significantly less to get 4 other tier 7 ships on offer currently.
The players who can get Schill for otherwise worthless excess resources (mainly premium days and promotion orders in the thousands), will already have those ships.

Full disclosure - I’m a long time player and I was able to convert enough resources for Schill. Do I need it to enjoy Legends? Absolutely not . . . but with an excess of resources, why not?
I learned early on that FOMO is a real thing, and with a game that has monthly cycles I think it’s easy to fall into that trap. I frequent the Reddit page and the number of ‘when will x-ship or y-ship come back?’ posts is silly. Same with ‘what will the next campaign ship be?, when we’re only a week into a new cycle. Hey, speculation is fun, but don’t let it ruin your experience. Don’t let the fear of missing out take over. Kudos to you for pointing out that this can be a free to play game, or that some super sweet deals pop up from time to time. There are so many options and so many avenues to explore.

I have faced one in a match in a Shimanto. She was pretty tight with the shots and well armoured on most angles, but the player was the biggest influence in how well the ship performed at the end of the day. Every advantage is an advantage, so I was glad I had better concealment and range on my torps.
I was thinking that this makes Gaijin who made War Thunder seem better than Wargaming, but then I remembered the Gaijin marketplace and how a 700 dollar ship on WoW Legends doesn’t even compare to the IS-7 or E-100 which are over 1000 Dollars. The last E-100 I think sold at 2000 USD! These freemium games are going WAY TOO FAR!! Still I think Gaijin is slightly better than Wargaming. At least Gaijin actually sometimes listens to the player base, but still… CRAZY!

As one of, if not the largest whales in this game, I do not recommend getting Schill unless you have the spare currency around. For those that know me and used to count my decades of premium time, it was a good use of a completely useless currency in this game, it's not worth it unless you are dumping excess stockpiles. I have never whaled. Never purchased any crates. Buy about half the Admiralty backings. But have played since day 1 with >12,500 games, 95% of those in DDs, >3k in one ship. I would guess that I am one of if not the lowest cash spent to games played in my Clan, Pain's Armada. My point... I have enough promo orders, silver & global stored up to buy the Schill. For players like me, it's a free ship. Bit of a bargain. But I'll give it a miss, waiting for a DD to appear in Crafting Station after everyone has spent all their resources on this...

Same I love this game it's one of a kind really there's nothing else like it so I'm ok with most of the monetization but this is just insane and I'm someone who spent two years playing this game just to get Alabama(it's why I even started playing this game)
Personally I had over 2.5k premium(6yrs worth and hated every time I looked at it) and 3mil gxp….after getting the Schill I have over 1k premium days and 1mil gxp. So I still have 3yrs worth and enough to hopefully get the next gxp ship. But that adds up fast

Noq I saw Tommyboy post a video he thinks this was made this way as a resource dump, for players who yes had a lot. But it was to rebalance the economy, as his thinking is if not this next up date the one after WG may release a new GXP ship, or something.
This whole update while fun seems like a resource getting as the Campion creates give crates that have resources, and now dumping, I think that Tommyboy is right this is an economy reblance.

I’ve said this before but even though I’ve been playing since day one, I took a break. Missed the Wichita, Somers and Ochakov campaigns so I’m still grinding ships. I have a nice nest egg but I still need to spend on things. I opened up that crafting station and my eyes almost fell out. I’m wondering if something big is coming up in the fall and Christmas and this is a way of depleting everyone’s stash.

Wargaming wants $40ish dollars for a digital ship...the acutal high quality model of the Atlanta is $107...i laughted at wargamings prices. Shill is the pay to lose version of the Siegfried in my eyes, I almost have 50% of the crafting station in resources, I looked at it and I don't see a real use for this ship, while it's probably going to suffer more than Sieg, guns are smaller, if you need to angle, you only get one turret pointing forward, and let's compare it to Sieg, Congress Azuma and Cherbourg, Schill can't compete.

If you manage to ambush anything broadside and take thé reload booster schill is deadly.
You can't straight UP overmatch liké Siegfried or enjoyable improves AP like Azuma but it's quite unique and Can be really good.

Wargaming crafting scheme is literally, technically and legally robbing us legends players of our doubloons, global xp, promotions and silver. Although i can afford to get schill using only silver, damn thats my 2 years savings of playing just to earn well over a billion of it. But im really tempted to get the flag and poseidon and spend 80 million silver. Damn thats expensive, i can buy and unlock 3 tier 8 ships at that cost. The only way we can acquire the things on crafting station is this time only, and that is the trade off of spending on crafting scheme.

I get annoyed when i see comments of people acting like these resources are basically meaningless and everything. Like people who have thousands of premium days, that shit just didn't magically appear on your account, you probably spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars to acquire that much. So to act like you're just giving up these free resources that cost you nothing is a terrible mindset to have. Whether or not you equate that stuff to money doesn't change the actual cash value of it.
Another thing is promo orders I have like 13 right now and you need like a 100 something just to level up 1 commender so they go by quick

Still, having an excess of premium days have been literally worthless. So they did get Schill with resources that would otherwise be worthless.
And long terms players, who played this game *a lot* for 4-5 years, could very well have 4-5000 promotion orders. Even without spending more money then getting admiralty backing for all campaigns. And having that much promotion orders while all commanders they want to use is level 13 or more, also makes most of that excess worthless (before Crafting Station).
So both is true. Many spend money, and many amassed such large amount of excess resources that they could never use it for anything (rendering the excess otherwise worthless).
And also, you come of as someone complaining that some choose to spend money at the game. You know, the ones who keeps the servers running and the game existing at all for all of us. If WG throws in a very small extra thing for them after five years, it’s more than a little petty to rage about that, no?😃

After more then four years playing the game (a bit to much😅) I was at 5600 promotion orders. With all commanders that I use leveled to at least lvl.14.
If you keep playing the game a lot for years, and get admiralty backing for campaigns (which gives you a ton of resources every time), you’ll get there to.

Not sure if I agree that this is for 'extreme whales' only. I have played since day one, have bought a total of 3-4 premium ships, rarely buy premium days (currently have 15 days on my account) and never buy crates or commanders and yet I can afford to buy Schill with the 3,400 promotion orders I have accumulated along with some of the 3.9 million in gxp that I have (seems I can never decide which gxp ship to buy lol) and some silver. Having said that, I agree that the conversion rates are ridiculous and personally don't think it is worth it for me to spend so many resources on one ship.
Dang, I've played since day 1 and don't have near that many promos. I do have every commander in the game though, and most all of them are leveled past 13. Maybe that's where I went wrong

Wargamng and ships is the most aggregous, overpriced scammey game and company I have ever seen. You hardly ever get what you pay for. The only bundle that had reasonable value was the texas 10$ bundle. Other than that, complete rip-off!

Ok, I love your content, and overall you come across as a good person, but I'm gonna take on the heel role here.
You are just objectively wrong, and your vid title is extremely clickbaity and misleading. Among other things that I'll address later, to be a scam there has to be some sort of fraud, and WG has been extremely upfront and honest about this event. They put up a product, and an explicit price tag with no deception at all. Compared to containers, random bundles, and the auction house, this event is positively refreshing for its honesty (and that's coming from a veteran player who can't even reach the guise with my current "stockpile").
Some players have been begging for *years* for a resource sink, and this was the path WG chose to fulfill that. Personally it's not the way I would have done it, but it's still fine. People are acting like this is somehow exploiting people or it's some sort of scam/scheme, but to me it all just reeks of entitlement from the playerbase.
Did nobody notice that at the exact same time they also added Windrose bonuses to every ship after tier 4 that give people stuff for free, just for playing the game? Seriously, it's not much, but it's 100% free, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't even announced, just "Hey, here have some more free stuff".

They did this even to drain the resources of the already existing mega whales so that those whales are more inclined to continue whaling. Is it a dirty tactic in my eyes? Sure, but it's also an effective one, just look at F2P mobile gaming. They make insane money, and yet it's only like 1-2% of their players that ever spend *any* money. If you keep the whales happy and spending, you don't need everyone else to be buying things, and the game gets to continue developing and improving entirely free for the vast majority of the playerbase.

Hearing people say "It's for the long term players with an overabundance of resources" is ignoring one factor. It is creating a divide in the community, which is never the move.

Timed exclusives, pay to win items, crate gambling etc. are normal for F2P games so if you’re looking for fairness then F2P is not meant for you. Veteran players and whales will always have advantages.
WoWs Legends has never been fair anyways. OP ships like Somers CE and Wichita CE are no longer obtainable. Others like Lenin, Jean Bart, Mainz etc. are obtainable in crates but unless you’re extremely lucky you will have to spend thousands of $. Some purchasable commanders also give advantages over the free commanders, and AL Atago is not even obtainable anymore for new players.

Thank you for calling this out and not polishing a turd Derka. I’ve been playing for 4 years, buy almost every campaign (maybe missed 5-6), spent way more real money than I should have on random things, and even if I had enough I wouldn’t spend this amount of resources. They’re too valuable and I wouldn’t be surprised if WG comes out with something that causes a lot of buyer’s remorse on dropping so many resources on a tier VII.
That sounds about right lol like the ability to burn silver right before they brought tier 8s to the game lol

Or did you forget all of the special creates hand out premium days like it's candy, and you can earn a lot of free specials after three and half years of playing a game I and happy to support. So take your "your the problem" speech to someone who actually cares.
As i said on Aaron's video, the prices would have been fine if more ships were available, a LT instead of Schill, then a tier 8 then Schill then a tier 6 and 5 crates, for something that would stay forever with a rotation in ships every 4-6 months

I have the credits to purchase the Schill but I am not going to buy it. I am sitting on 415m Credits, 2m GXP just under a years worth of Premium time and Promotion orders I do not have enough of. But I have way to much converted xp sitting on ships doing nothing why didn't we get that as an option?
It's designed to deplete your supplies in all categories. This way they make people start spending cash money on the game again. Their sales had fallen off drastically. Not much revenue coming in. So be scammed or just ignore the crafting. I'm ignoring.
I agree that the conversion rate is crazy. BUT if you have 3000 premium days, why wouldn't you use them. That's 8+ years. This game won't be around that long. Or if you have 5000 promo orders and not a single commander to promote, what is the point of saving them? Waiting WG to release 150 new commanders next update?

So, the value of an unusable resources used to be zero, now it's two ships and a bunch of goodies.
A valid argument would be that WG will repeat this kind of event and make people buy stuff just for the sake of it. That would be predatory (and will probably happen 😅).
P.S. Personally I don't have enough resources for Schill, so it's not for me and I stopped to the Super V crate.
