My partner and I are excited for your video breaking down the word "cringe". I found you here from the wordle video too. The instant chemistry between you and Suda reinforced my personal theory that word people are the best people. I love the way you communicate.
Thank you for your lovely comment! Cringe will hard to do because I'll have to wade through so much trash. Probably going to do a video on Foucault for the theory series first.
This was so interesting to watch! Came over from Suda's video (which just so happened to pop up in my recommended videos). I went to check the comments and found that you made this video. Thank you for the informative video on wholesomeness, I really appreciate the straightforward way you present the information, and how visually appealing it is!
Thank you for this extremely wholesome comment! I had a lot of fun making it. More stuff in development, but I have a day job lol so the pace isn't "RUclipsr".
I’m so glad you actually decided to cover this! I’m a little late to the video but this is so informative especially for those who never quite knew what it was or where it came from! I’m so glad you’re doing videos like these, I also enjoy literature a lot so I’ll be sure to catch up on those videos of yours too! Can’t wait for this journey on your channel :)
This is really inspirational and informative. I hope to make you aware of the quality of your audio though, improving it to par level would greatly enhance the enjoyability of the lecture.
Thanks for the note. My office has very high ceilings which is lovely but the acoustics are bad. Need to look into it. Glad you could hear it and hope it wasn't too much strain.
@@IohannesRhetor I totally get it! Time is always important, but when you do make videos, they're pure gold. Keep shining, and whenever you drop a new video, count me in for the front-row seat!
Hi, I really loved this video as a gen Z! I was also wondering you could cover the etymology and semantics shift of the word "love" - especially with the newer generation having an aversion to the word and labels in general. A video would be really insightful on both academic and personal levels!
Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed! "Love" would be challenging because it's such a vast concept, and I'm not sure I see the meaning of the word as such changing in recent years so much as the esteem which young people attach to the concept. I have definitely noticed a sharp uptick in cynicism about the importance of romantic love (and to a certain extent, sex) in recent years. When I started my teaching career, Twilight was all the rage. Now, students see characters in the "lover" archetype such from Lancelot to Romeo to Gatsby as a "despo simp." I honestly don't have a clear idea of what's happened. I know that popular narrative has deemphasized romantic fulfillment as the end result of character growth and struggle ("Frozen" is a famous example of this shift, which is a formative film for Gen Z, I think). At the same time, Taylor Swift is popular, who is desperately romantic in her vexed and complicated way, and Colleen Hoover is a common "guilty pleasure" among my women English majors. Hmm. I'll give this some thought. Thank you for the suggestion. Hope you keep watching!
Thanks to @whysuda and @endlessly tired for the inspiration!
You actually did it! I saw the comment on the wordle video 😂

Great video! As an non-native speaker I did not know about the old meaning and the history, fascinating! Keep up the great work 👍
