  • Certain things are almost never done in the wine industry. For example, you will never blend Chardonnay with Sauvignon Blanc. However as new wine regions emerge, they stretch the definition of what’s possible.

That wine looks delish! I had in 2019 a Riesling-Chardonnay that was to die for! It was in Eisenberg, Germany and from a local winery, I believe. Perfect blend. Have never found that particular wine again. It certainly isn't in the States. LOL!

Fun and interesting from start to finish! Lots to unpack - a good deductive exercise. New and Old World characteristics collide!

Their wines are quite hard to come by because they normally pretty much sell out on release. Rocking Horse is a favourite of the critics. You will have to try a specialist wine shop.

This quirky outside of the box style wine had to be South Africa, as no other wine country is quite like it. It might technically be a "New World" country but I think it's closer to European style wine making. But without the sometimes overly rigorous and stuffy rules of some European wine appellations. Cheers and fun video!

Well, Shiraz and Viognier together make no sense...until you try them.
