props for doing it with a great katana. After 4 hours of attempts I said screw it and went fingerprint shield with Mogh spear. That combo made rhadan super easy.
Same shield blasphemous blade in my first playthrough. Will try different strats with my other builds. Yesterday I saw someone beating him parry only, no damage, so it’s doable.
Another shield enjoyer I see. I've been using shields since my first playthrough. I love being tanks in most games I play so ofc I picked the sword and board as my class in this.
It's really great to hear the honest passion in your voice. That's something I really love about the DLC. Lot of people came back and really put their heart and soul into it. Hope your birthday went as well as possible, too.
I really enjoy your commentary and positive attitude! I was just gonna check the video quickly and almost watch all of it now. Keep it up! The DLC is something else for sure.
found your channel today and spent like the past half day just watching some of your playthroughs LOL, Seeing you play this dlc, Sekiro, and Lies of P was amazing. I cant wait for more!
I did my dlc run with the great katana the whole way through mainly (fell inlove with it) and used Rakshasa's Great Katana alot too. I was super cocky going into the final boss i had beaten all bosses no summons in under 10 attempts with only Divine Beast giving me some issues right at the start with 30 attempts. Safe to say Radahn humbled me after 147 attempts but after 6hrs i got the clear without changing my build and that to me was super satisfying. Alot of guys in my discord and beat him and felt shit cause they ended up caving and using summons or shield and rot builds. So im glad i stuck it out and actually learnt the fight. My 2nd dlc run Radahn only took 3 attempts so it paid off! I think personally Midra and Messmer are easily my 2 favourite fights in the game now right up there with Godfrey, Malenia and Mohg.
After watching basically every Convergence video and now this one, I finally subscribed! 😅 Seriously, though, I really enjoy your content. I realized while watching this video that you show what a lot of other players don't: what you call "scouting," learning the bosses' movesets. I wanted to do that with the final boss, but I just got so frustrated because I tried several different strategies and nothing worked. I wound up beating him with a greatshield-counter-Endure-bleed build, and honestly, I'm disappointed. Now I understand why people are saying it's a bad boss: because almost everyone feels shoehorned into a specific setup. I just want to win with *my* build that I carefully crafted through many hours of play. I'm determined to truly "git gud" on my next playthrough. Thanks, man!
Yes. Killing the friendly rot kindred was a mistake. Lost out on moore. Meaning Thillier as well i believe. Plus the Friendky brood had its own reward if you could heal him
Jesus dude, only just found your channel. I have ADHD so I get bored very easily and here I am transfixed by your playthrough and not noticing that 96 minutes had gone by. Great content curtis from one Elden Ring fanboy to another.
How does this only have 2.7k likes? this is the best elden ring dlc video i've seen, you actually show the game instead of just running from boss to boss.
I was playing it safe. I used Mimic and NPC summons, and it was still hard. Messmer, the NPC fight the Frenzied Lord and Radhan were the hardest fights, because they all took countless tries. And they all hit like trucks. I did end up using Messmer's spear. (Rather good combinded with Mohg's spear) I really did like the bosses. By the way, you can kill some of the Frenzied Lanterns by parrying them first. I had found all the map fragments, and suffered anxiety from the spirit worms, when they inflate their heads up close. And i never killed one of the giant braziers. In my opinion, the map is done very well, it could be it's own game because of the size of it. I like the bosses, but they all hit like a train. And they make the base game look easy. After beating the DLC (Which i started before Faurm Azula) apart from Malenia i'm never going to call a Lands-Between boss hard. Godskin: 1st try. Plasudisax 1st try (Although he didn't do the lasers) Maliketh: 2nd try. Gideon: 1st try. Godfrey 1st try. The fish: Also 1st try. The DLC bosses, thats what you call hard. Next time you fight a boss in the Lands-Between, just say: "Well Plasudisax was rather easy." Obviously, that bit where i was saying how the Lands-Between bosses are all just easy was a joke. Also, maybe you could pin this, i don't know.
Yeah on my second playthrough of the dlc, I went back to fight Godfrey for more runes and I played that so casually because like what you said, base game is a cake walk.
@@Fatigue023 To be fair, i was level 190 when i returned to the base game. And i had killed all the demigods before i entered the DLC. But i was taking chunks of damage of the base bosses.
Damn. my heart was also raising just by watching. Can't wait for me to go through the DLC but with a mimic as I don't have that much time. Great playthrough
Ok, cactus, you were grabbed by the dancing lion. When that happens, it gives you an effect that allows the boss to steal some of your healing from your crimson flasks
Hey great fan of your these type of videos, gives a full run of the game without unnecessary drama like some streamers and just pure gamer spirit Can you do videos like these for dark souls series
Lotta fun watching you play through blind much more exciting than watching people whine about how unfair some dlc bosses are. You just persevered and conquered.
Man, im very new to elden ring. Id struggled with deciding on whether to buy it or not for quite a long time. All i ever heard was “its so hard, you wont enjoy it. So dont waste your money” but really, i enjoy it. I have had it for 2(ish) weeks and just defeated Godrick the Grafted. There is so much that you can do im kind of lost on what to do next.
Yo happy bday Curtis and great job at shadow of the erdtree! You made it look easy it took me until I made this comment to beat Like I beat it a few mins ago. Keep up the good work Curtis!
Duuude, that spot where you died because you were infinitely falling at 49:45 . I died the exact same way because I jumped there too. I also tried teleporting before I died😂😭
Great video! I found your channel from your convergence playthroughs. I cannot wait to play it with the convergence mod, any clue when it will come out?
Love your videos but i won't watch this one to the end cuz i haven't finished the dlc. What ive seem most dlc runs don't get lots of views because most people haven't finished it(thats what i think) happy birthday 🎂.

Wise, wise. Personally I used the Sword Spear thing from Gaius and just struggled until he died lol
Same shield blasphemous blade in my first playthrough. Will try different strats with my other builds. Yesterday I saw someone beating him parry only, no damage, so it’s doable.
I used nagakiba, I really needed unsheathe for the Fight, but Rest of the dlc great katana was cool (i Just LOVE katanas)
Another shield enjoyer I see. I've been using shields since my first playthrough. I love being tanks in most games I play so ofc I picked the sword and board as my class in this.

Love that you enjoyed that more intimate show. You should look for local music collectives in your area who put on smaller events
Love your videos man. I finished the dlc on Saturday and waited for your video to release
Bayle the Dread actually chopped off Dragonlord Placidusax two heads off
And everything that misses on Bayle's body has been dismembered by Placiducex. Two Ancient Elder Dragons clashing for supremacy.
He just took them with him when he fled the scene ;)

i am so ready to see what they cook up!
The Dragon Hunter's Great Katana only does extra damage against normal dragons, it doesn't have an extra effect against Ancient Dragons sadly

idk what to tell you i played it as soon as it came out and didn't refer to any guides or anything, just using what the base game instilled on me
