I’m glad he said that. People who are considering surgery should take the time to do research on the procedure as well as the surgeon. I’d be very concerned if someone went to a plastic surgeon with only a photo and no knowledge of what surgery the want. It’s the perfect opportunity to be taken advantage of and botched.
I am a black girl and I had double jaw surgery and genioplasty in Korea this summer. Honestly, Korea is the best. It is changing my life. Anesthesia was too heavy, and other foreigners were struggling with it too. If I did this surgery in the US or Europe I know I would have been disappointed with the final results. Korea is the best!
@@Sabrina-vc9yt Did you just comment to try and shame this person? Double jaw surgery is done on people who have misalignment of their jaws. It always improves the health of the patient. Asian and Black people tend to have more jaw complications.

Wow, his western view versus the korean is very different! So interesting how bone shaving is so common is korea but not in the west. His view is really practical. Korea has fast-food-style plastic surgery, which is really unfortunate. I hope we all learn to love ourselves more
I feel like this video would be very eye-opening for Koreans in South Korea to know. English-speaking people have access to multiple plastic surgery channels with english speaking doctors to learn about these things but like you said, in korea it is all about trends. Koreans needs to understand that trends will always fade away.

I haven’t had elective plastic surgery but I’ve had about 10-15 surgeries for medical issues. Some have been successful and some have had bad complications. I have lupus nephritis which was diagnosed when I was 9, I am 33 years old now. I had a failed kidney transplant 1 year and 2 months ago. It clotted off 1 week after they put it in. I was in ICU for 10 days during that episode. It was very hard and very disappointing. 1 year ago my dad gave me his kidney as a living donor and so far it has been very successful. I had a cleft lip and palette as a baby and had a lot of nose and mouth surgeries from that also. My mouth still has small hole in my palette connecting to my nose where it’s hard to get a suction in my mouth. And my nose still has deviated septum and still does not look right but with all the health problems and surgeries I’ve had, I’m not changing my nose just for aesthetic reasons at this point. Only if there is a medical need. Surgery is hard on your body. The more surgeries you have the more scar tissue develops which causes many problems and it hurts. I’m not discouraging surgery, just really do you research and weigh your specific pros and cons if you are considering elective surgery. Your body is a miraculous thing in how it works to keep you alive and functioning. Everyone has things they don’t like about their looks, but that is what makes you who you are. That is what makes you special. Remember you are beautiful whether you choose to go under the knife or not. 😀
I personally think Korean plastic surgery is more attractive than the US. It seems more natural and sometimes you can’t really even tell that someone got plastic surgery until you look at a previous photo. growing up in the u.s I never really had a liking towards the the “western stereotype beauty”
i think you're mistaking bad plastic surgery for the whole US cosmetic industry. 99% of western celebrities have had gotten some sort of work done, and they're mostly undetectable. the ones that stand out are the really bad and obvious ones. I suggest you watch Lorry Hill's channel, she really digs deep into what celebrities presumably has what done. k-idols tho, at least to my eyes, it's always obvious what work they've done. their nose bridges are always too high and the double eyelids are so telling.
@@chokemewithmydiamonds9456 exactly, american cosmetic surgery is very natural and subtle too. you just never notice it and the only ones that get noticed are the botched, obvious ones with duck lips and extreme fox eye lifts. The reality is any plastic surgery can get botched or look over the top. Ive seen some korean jaw shaving which look straight up alien like and SO unnatural. it really depends on the surgeon and the patient's desires

I also want to say that the west also has a very universal beauty trend, but they don't want to admit it. Your beauty in the West is just as important as it is in any other Asian country and people still judge you REALLY harshly, but hide that on the surface level while being extremely dishonest. The internet is not the real world, the real world is still very harsh to people who don't conform. As someone from Europe who lives in the south-eastern part, it really isn't that much different
In my opinion, a person needs to go through tough times or get varied experiences to not care THAT much so yeah there is a little dent on my teeth or oh my cheeks are fat, or my forehead is flat but so what I am a human being and there is no need to be perfect kinda mindset can grow, but ofc the others the opinions the places where u grow up everything adds up so as a person self-love is a must, ps isn't. It's a decision, a choice but not mandatory. Just because it's a trend or what is accepted as a norm by the communities.

If it will make you happy,do it,but before think a lot if you really need it,find good plastic surgeon,because many people after rhynoplasty remove the implant because they like their nose before procedure more after that.
I don’t know how people have the money to afford it and the time to recover from it. If I had both then I’d totally do a chin lift, rhinoplasty and lipo.
btw Koreans are not bringing pictures of celebrities to doctors to "be them" its more on to clarify what shape of the nose the patient wants, "I want this type of nose on me" not " I want you to make me like her"
I am getting really insecure with my eye bags because I am almost in my late 30's but this video scared me in a good way. It's surprising how social media and the internet affect us on how we view ourselves but just like what was mentioned in this video, we have to remind ourselves that all of us will get old. Maybe before we jump into the fiery pit of plastic surgery, ask ourselves of what really matters to us.
Hi from Quebec, Canada. Plastic surgery here is very far from what you find in the USA. 85% are women, 15% are men. 66% of operations are upper (drooping) eyelids, 15% are mammary augmentation, 13% are mammary reduction, 5% rhinoplasty, 0,5% hair loss.

What about threading..? The thing where they basically needle a thread through diff parts of your face and then they somehow build like natural collagen/cartilage, like on the bridge of a nose for example?

I am going too try too explain myself..on this topic. Too be honest surgery isn't for everyone. If you have a lot moneys that's only way too get surgery, it's not free and everyone can't get surgery. In my opinions about surgery. I think if it's life treating, yes surgery it has too done. However, too get any others surgery it for mainly for vanity and maintaining it It's unrealistic. For some. And if they are on any of drama or moives, it's more they losing loss weight or getting surgery..like that Korea movie I seen many years ago 200 pounds. Some guys over there in South Korea expected the girl too be breath taken but when comes too them it's whole different thing. Personally would I date someone that had surgery? Yes! but not because they had anything done. It's more accepting that person who they are then there appearances. If I find that person, attractive that's all that matters. Wow,I have the same opinion. In Korea really strange standards, and also ps doesn't suit to everyone,even if person has money,that doesn't mean he will become beautiful. I know that even if asian wanted to get blepharoplasty,he would be rejected if he has close-set eyes,because it's too different to do . Rhynoplasty and other ps you couldn't do if you have medical problems(so completely health(or even naturally beautiful) people doing ps for just aesthetics and that's so sad). People should appreciate their real features,because trends change very fast(many years ago I saw short cartoon about ps,there was natural beautiful girl and she did a lot ps to fit trends,but in the end the trend was natural beauty,how she was before ps).

I’m glad he said that. People who are considering surgery should take the time to do research on the procedure as well as the surgeon. I’d be very concerned if someone went to a plastic surgeon with only a photo and no knowledge of what surgery the want. It’s the perfect opportunity to be taken advantage of and botched.
I am a black girl and I had double jaw surgery and genioplasty in Korea this summer. Honestly, Korea is the best. It is changing my life. Anesthesia was too heavy, and other foreigners were struggling with it too. If I did this surgery in the US or Europe I know I would have been disappointed with the final results. Korea is the best!

@@Sabrina-vc9yt Did you just comment to try and shame this person? Double jaw surgery is done on people who have misalignment of their jaws. It always improves the health of the patient. Asian and Black people tend to have more jaw complications.

Wow, his western view versus the korean is very different! So interesting how bone shaving is so common is korea but not in the west. His view is really practical. Korea has fast-food-style plastic surgery, which is really unfortunate. I hope we all learn to love ourselves more

I feel like this video would be very eye-opening for Koreans in South Korea to know. English-speaking people have access to multiple plastic surgery channels with english speaking doctors to learn about these things but like you said, in korea it is all about trends. I haven’t had elective plastic surgery but I’ve had about 10-15 surgeries for medical issues. Some have been successful and some have had bad complications. I have lupus nephritis which was diagnosed when I was 9, I am 33 years old now. I had a failed kidney transplant 1 year and 2 months ago. It clotted off 1 week after they put it in. I was in ICU for 10 days during that episode. It was very hard and very disappointing. 1 year ago my dad gave me his kidney as a living donor and so far it has been very successful. I had a cleft lip and palette as a baby and had a lot of nose and mouth surgeries from that also. My mouth still has small hole in my palette connecting to my nose where it’s hard to get a suction in my mouth. And my nose still has deviated septum and still does not look right but with all the health problems and surgeries I’ve had, I’m not changing my nose just for aesthetic reasons at this point. Only if there is a medical need. Surgery is hard on your body. The more surgeries you have the more scar tissue develops which causes many problems and it hurts. I’m not discouraging surgery, just really do you research and weigh your specific pros and cons if you are considering elective surgery. Your body is a miraculous thing in how it works to keep you alive and functioning. Everyone has things they don’t like about their looks, but that is what makes you who you are. That is what makes you special. Remember you are beautiful whether you choose to go under the knife or not. 😀
I personally think Korean plastic surgery is more attractive than the US.
It seems more natural and sometimes you can’t really even tell that someone got plastic surgery until you look at a previous photo.

i think you're mistaking bad plastic surgery for the whole US cosmetic industry. 99% of western celebrities have had gotten some sort of work done, and they're mostly undetectable. the ones that stand out are the really bad and obvious ones. I suggest you watch Lorry Hill's channel, she really digs deep into what celebrities presumably has what done. k-idols tho, at least to my eyes, it's always obvious what work they've done. their nose bridges are always too high and the double eyelids are so telling.

@@chokemewithmydiamonds9456 exactly, american cosmetic surgery is very natural and subtle too. you just never notice it and the only ones that get noticed are the botched, obvious ones with duck lips and extreme fox eye lifts. The reality is any plastic surgery can get botched or look over the top. Ive seen some korean jaw shaving which look straight up alien like and SO unnatural. it really depends on the surgeon and the patient's desires

I also want to say that the west also has a very universal beauty trend, but they don't want to admit it. Your beauty in the West is just as important as it is in any other Asian country and people still judge you REALLY harshly, but hide that on the surface level while being extremely dishonest. The internet is not the real world, the real world is still very harsh to people who don't conform. As someone from Europe who lives in the south-eastern part, it really isn't that much different

In my opinion, a person needs to go through tough times or get varied experiences to not care THAT much so yeah there is a little dent on my teeth or oh my cheeks are fat, or my forehead is flat but so what I am a human being and there is no need to be perfect kinda mindset can grow, but ofc the others the opinions the places where u grow up everything adds up so as a person self-love is a must, ps isn't. It's a decision, a choice but not mandatory. Just because it's a trend or what is accepted as a norm by the communities.

this was a very interesting watch…. i really want a nose job but just on the tip specifically my nostrils lol like all i want to do is tuck my nostrils down. i like the bridge & everything else but my gd nostrils bug me. when i pinch them i feel like that some makes my nose look longer & better. but idk if it’s worth it just for that even though ik i’d be happier
If it will make you happy,do it,but before think a lot if you really need it,find good plastic surgeon,because many people after rhynoplasty remove the implant because they like their nose before procedure more after that.
I don’t know how people have the money to afford it and the time to recover from it. If I had both then I’d totally do a chin lift, rhinoplasty and lipo.

I am getting really insecure with my eye bags because I am almost in my late 30's but this video scared me in a good way. It's surprising how social media and the internet affect us on how we view ourselves but just like what was mentioned in this video, we have to remind ourselves that all of us will get old.

Hi from Quebec, Canada. Plastic surgery here is very far from what you find in the USA. 85% are women, 15% are men. 66% of operations are upper (drooping) eyelids, 15% are mammary augmentation, 13% are mammary reduction, 5% rhinoplasty, 0,5% hair loss.

What about threading..? The thing where they basically needle a thread through diff parts of your face and then they somehow build like natural collagen/cartilage, like on the bridge of a nose for example?

I am going too try too explain myself..on this topic. Too be honest surgery isn't for everyone. If you have a lot moneys that's only way too get surgery, it's not free and everyone can't get surgery. In my opinions about surgery. I think if it's life treating, yes surgery it has too done.
However, too get any others surgery it for mainly for vanity and maintaining it It's unrealistic. For some. Mostly the cost. And too honest surgery is always happening in South Korea regardless of trends. Many peoples unhappy by there looks and that's sad there are good looking peoples there. For many many years didn't understand why until one my Korea American friend told me And remember there a lot of biracial peoples that are Asian too..there facial features are way different and body type are too. And there are many curve Man and woman in Asian countries but it's not the ideal too be, even if they are health sad but true. And if they are on any of drama or moives, it's more they losing loss weight or getting surgery..like that Korea movie I seen many years ago 200 pounds.
Some guys over there in South Korea expected the girl too be breath taken but when comes too them it's whole different thing.
Personally would I date someone that had surgery? Yes! but not because they had anything done. It's more accepting that person who they are then there appearances. If I find that person, attractive that's all that matters. Like my guy he's handsome too me. So that's all that matters lol.

Wow,I have the same opinion. In Korea really strange standards, and also ps doesn't suit to everyone,even if person has money,that doesn't mean he will become beautiful. I know that even if asian wanted to get blepharoplasty,he would be rejected if he has close-set eyes,because it's too different to do . Rhynoplasty and other ps you couldn't do if you have medical problems(so completely health(or even naturally beautiful) people doing ps for just aesthetics and that's so sad). People should appreciate their real features,because trends change very fast(many years ago I saw short cartoon about ps,there was natural beautiful girl and she did a lot ps to fit trends,but in the end the trend was natural beauty,how she was before ps).

I totally agree that we shouldn't do surgeries that are "trends". Imagine having to do 20+ nose surgeries in your life just to follow trends over years. You wouldn't have any nose left to operate on and it would look awful. The more times we do surgeries... it will probably look more and more uncanny and unnatural 😬🙈 He is right; you should do surgeries only if they can be good looking for a lifetime... and will be suitable for your own face.
