Love this style of video, thank you! I just bought some new grow lights to hopefully help with light over winter

@@wyldhouseplants oh only some little clip in one from Amazon, just for a pretty low light shelf. Time will tell if it helps!

Loved this video & your room looks beautiful! You don’t use grow lights in your bedroom? It’s amazing-I have a few cheapo ones as didn’t think my plants would survive! But I’m inspired by your massive plants, I’m definitely going to shift things about & be braver. Thank you xx

Aw thank you ☺️ No grow lights in the bedroom but it is south-facing and it's a bright room. Plants have always been happy in this room so never felt the need to add any. Enjoy moving things around 💚

Hi thank you for your video, wanted to get your thoughts about predatory mites? Just getting into alocasia brought a low rider and wentii and the low rider as thrips, never had to deal with pests as I always use my neem solution on all my plants especially when they just come into my home and isolate for a week. 93% of my plants are in semi hydro.

Hi 👋, I recently did a round of predatory mites for thrips because I had a bad outbreak this Summer. There are different mites for the larvae stage and adult stage so just make sure you get the right ones. I think they have definitely helped but they do require quite high humidity to hatch so bear that in mind. I do like to shower my plants regularly and obviously you can't do this if you are using beneficial, so I think I would use them again if I had an outbreak but probably not all the time. If it's just the one plant that's struggling I would probably stick to sprays. Pests are the worst!

Plantsbymelissa here on RUclips is the moss pole queen and has many videos of making, caring for, and chopping moss poles. Perhaps she can be of some help to you😊
