Gates definitely does not use EMG pickups so i dont know where you got that.... he has a contract with Seymor Duncan. He used to use the same setup as on these guitars which was two Invader pickups, but now in the neck position he uses the Sustaniac pickup..

a Synyster Custom costs around 1G. they sell legit schecters @guitar center, the Red/Black, the White/Black, and the Black/Silver are all 1000. the White/Gold and the Joker LE are 1050. and All Synyster Sustainiacs are 1150. All Include adding tax, which is about another hundred.
@drakmore15 tab or not, they all still did a kick ass job. theres more to recording a song than just knowing how to play it, I'm sure they had to sync it all together. if you noticed the drummer had some headphones on, he probably listened to the song while playing to keep the same rhythm as the song, and then the guitars and bass were added later. so even if they did look up tabs, the work alone from syncing all the individual pieces together would be hard as well. good job guys!!!

great cover, but for the solo u should use the floyd rose instead of trying to pull off those crazy bends, syn uses the floydrose and so do i, and i get the exact note because of it.. the syn custom has a floyd rose for a reason.

As for the guitars, they are not the £1000 ones you think they are, they are the ~£500 models, you can tell because the don't have the Sustainiac Pick-Ups (Identifiable by 2 extra switches on the front of the guitar). And it may be a Squire bass (Fenders cheaper sub-company). So while it may still cost quite abit, it's nowhere near what you think.
