I feel like if this scenario was to become true than WW3 would last longer than the entirety of WW2. The reason being for my hypothesis is that everything has gotten bigger, including the size of the worlds militaries, the amount of countries involved in being allies with one anther and the technologies included making everything more efficient, which would give armies time more time to plan.

The amount of fighting people vs people in the population is a lot lower. Even with a draft, the level of technology we have now has allowed us to deploy less people power for more destructive power.
WW3, could be longer, I won't argue that, although I believe the actual amount of human participants will be lower than what we've seen in the great World Wars.
If nukes become involved the war will be short and destructive....that simple. 2 nukes in Japan were enough to end the war.....now we are talking thousands of nukes on both sides.

as a mongolian i dont think we would enter the war, we have great relations with the west and east so its unlikely we would join either side, although it might change with the nationalists either having enough influence to ask to take back Inner Mongolia but I doubt it,
TLDR- we wouldn't join the war but maybe give a limited access to railroads because of the few corrupt elite

It’s kinda scary that our generation has a pretty good chance of fighting this war (but with nukes included), 2 pandemics, Intense climate issues, Racial problems, Terrorism and crime. I feel like my future is shrouded in destruction.

I think india would stay neutral, but if Pakistan and China were on the red team, they may join blue team.

japan, australia, india and usa have made a treaty where if china does something bad (like invading taiwan) then they all would come together to fight china off. Therefore, india cannot stay neutral after the invasion of taiwan and has to intervene. Yes, russia did save india in 1971, but things have changed. Russia has ruined its reputation by invading ukraine and india does have many european allies too (who are fighting russia because they are part of nato). All things considered, india would pretty much be forced to be on the blue team.
@@penguin9257 i don't that that will happen. Most of indian defence equipment is Russian. If we join the war, Russian supply of spare parts and their maintenance services will stop. Which won't be coming to India either way as Russia is in war, but if india joins the war, it will hurt us very badly. Secondly, as both china and USA and most of the economic powers of the world are in war, India will be getting much more money from trade. ( by selling to those places that are not in the war but are hit badly by the supply chain disruption ) India wouldn't be as stable as it is today, but it will be better off then others. Pakistan might do something as they are put on a leash by china, but their economy is doing very not good. And china will need to get involved and help them, which in turn will weaken other Chinese fronts. So I don't think china will be attacking India using Pakistan.
Although my logic might be flawed, and things can go the other way.

Egypt would be red because the only reason they recognize Israel is because of the 6 day war where Israel took the Sinai peninsula, but gave it back to Egypt for recognition and peace.
Egypt would be most likely non alligned, they have positive relations with both sides, so I honestly don't see Egypt leaning to one side or another, the United States give lots of military aid to Egypt, so does China give economic aid too

Egypt retook some of Sinai in 1973 war and forced Israel to negotiation. Egypt already took its rights back from Israel and doesn't have a feud with Israel anymore FYI. So, Egypt will be non-aligned. Egypt doesn't care about Israel nor it wants to take down Israel anymore. Egypt dropped the feud after it reclaimed its rights and re-established the Palestinian state. Egypt is 100% gonna be non-aligned.

India had standoffs with China back in 2020, and now there's a diplomatic standoff with China renaming some towns in one of our states.
Personally, I feel like China is highly likely to attack with their military fully mobilised anyway.

Love the video and here are my thoughts on what sides some countries would join.
1. India would be blue when it comes to China, but stays neutral when it comes to the war on Europe.
2. Serbia would not join red team (so they don’t get invaded on all sides by NATO) but makes its own team and invades non-NATO countries that used to be part of Yugoslavia. Then leave the war to avoid NATO invasion, but keep any land they captured.
3. Vietnam would be blue, but would only join when it is clear that blue would win over China. (Kind of how Russia invaded Japan near the end of WW2).
4. Indonesia would join blue team because of Chinese aggression in the areas near them.
5. Pakistan would help China with the war with India, but like India, stay neutral when it comes to Europe.
6. South Africa would be red. (Because it is a member of BRICKS). And would be pressured to join by Russia and China.
7. Brazil would join team blue, because Russia would not be in a position to attack them. Also they would want Venezuelan land.
8. EU counties would probably join, also Switzerland discarded neutrality by imposing sanctions on Russia, so they might be team blue. MIGHT.

I think your "might for Switzerland" would be more of a likely considering we have seen their neutrality already disipate in the last month by supporting Ukraine. Plus seeing Finland and Sweden taking sides with NATO may eventually have Switzerland join in (Although they wouldn't have the same reasoning to join like those 2 countries.
I wouldn't see South Africa getting involved because nothing is happening near them that would affect them. Just like how you said Brazil would join blue because Russia is nowhere close. They could possibly stand towards red, because of BRICKS, but they would not take action. Maybe because of this war, another conflict may rise in Africa to make South Africa jump into attack mode, but that's something different.
I don't really follow much with Asia, but because of locations, I agree with you on those.
Serbia may take the risk to supply Russia, but they won't assist in the fight due to what you said. The only way I see them joining in is if Russia manages to get across Hungary and Romania and opens a red path between the 2 countries. This would be later on though if Russia is losing hope and is trying to reach out to allies.
This is just my take from the POV of geography.
I agree with most of your points except for South Africa. Since BRICKS is an economic alliance, I doubt it would provide any value following the outbreak of WW3. They would likely ally with the west who they have more in common with or be neutral since they dont have much to gain

You are completely right, Egypt does have good relations with both sides, and most likely it would stay neutral, as Egypt get lots of military aid from the U.S. and lots of economic Aid from china, but if Egypt REALLY had to pick a side it would be most likely the blue team, as the United States is militarily supportive of Egypt and so does Saudi Arabia

@@WalterWhitesMemes Depends when WW3 starts. Right now the entire world will be destroyed, but I dont doubt anti-nuke defenses are being developed and if we were to finish them before a WW3 I dont doubt nukes would be rendered ineffective and we'd have to find another weapon of mass destruction.

It is a great video, but as a Korean, I really cannot agree that South Korea and North Korea would go back to their original borders before 1950. South Korea will actually LOSE territory if that occurs. But I do not actually think the South will immediatly annex the North either. The two nations have so big gaps on economically and a fast annexation would wreck the economy(you all know how much Germany struggled to recover their economy after an unexpected reunification). Also it would be expected that there would be an amount of time needed to actually militarily control the North, after a huge war. In order to make an actually safe place for citizens to live, at least 10 years would be expected. So, I think South Korea will annex a little bit of land to the 39th parralel(because there are very important infrastructures there) and puppet the rest of the North. After giving economic aid to make the nations economically similar, then the annexation of the western lands will take place and there will be a full reunification

So what I think would be interesting is that there are countries like Syria, Yemen and Ethiopia which are in a state of civil war. So, there is a chance that while the regimes are focused on world war 3, the rebels/terrorists could steamroll and take over the country. Then, who knows what will happen. So far, what the video says is prolly the best simulation so far but in irl, the militias/insurgents could play a massive massive role.
The norrhern Ethiopian conflixt has been in half for a couple of months now, plus i domt think tigray would present a problem (small population,tiny land), if the Ethiopian go berserk and ..... carpet bomb it , but i don't think they want to bomb their own citizens and infrastructure.

Yeah, russia has a giant army, but outdated guns. Sure the tanks and aircraft might be great but the infrantry is the most important
I think an interesting video idea would be a war over Russia. Imagine Russia as a whole just falls over night, and countries fight over its territory to determine new borders. I think it would be interesting to see how countries would start wars and break alliances over gaining some of Russia.

i know this is a scenario, but i would doubt lebanon would join the red team, because they wouldn’t want to be steamrolled by Israel and because they are an ally of the US. Also the reason why they wouldn’t join the red side is their history with Syria where they got invaded during the Lebanese civil war . but anyways i enjoyed the video :)

Realistic lol some many nuances are ignored in this video.
Also one big thing that is being ignored is potential attacks on America and Canada.
We simplify and act like war will never hit our shores and I think that is a big mistake. Kinda like the Romans they had troops every were but Rome became so comfortable that they forgot to protect Rome. The USA may be on the same path. We have Russian and Chinese subs by our shores and you don't know where they are at any given time.
