This is a great tutorial, but I'm having the issue where even after using the replace face feature, the curvature of the top layer doesn't seem to be functioning like a 3D entity and I can't extrude cut specific shapes out of the completed foam rectangle.

Sorry for the late response. Perhaps extrude to surface would be a better option for you instead of replace face.

Good question. I don't have a video for that yet, but you can create a foam material with your own settings. Perhaps this blog would help
