As someone who’s been caught in a thunderstorm on the side of a mountain during a 3 day hike . . . I can tell you it’s way harder to start a fire in the rain (or shortly after) than most give it credit for.
Get out and practice these skills. Most gimmicks do not work.
What saved us on the trail was that one of the guys had a tube of fire starter paste. That was the only thing that held a flame long enough to dry anything out.
First thing I did when I got home was add a tube of that to my fire kit.
A small bottle of highly flammable hand sanitizer in gel form works as well. You can also disinfect wounds with it or sanitize you hands if you get diarrea and run out of paper. It is very inexpensive.
Teacup candle is the budget solution. You can get a pack of them for a dollar at the Tree.
Just finished making several containers of firestarters. Vaseline soaked cotton rounds that are then wax coated. Once you expose the fibers it burns well for several minutes. Lights easily with just a spark
The magic of using combustibles to dry twigs. Just don't forget your MacGyver cap.
I usually carry a few tea candles and some old strips of sock soaked in wax for if I need a bigger burn. The candles can always double as a light source or easy cooking if I'm warming a can and the wax socks have never ceased to get a fire going.
With wet, it is about quantity once you get something going and cheating to the getting something going stage is totally called for. Just quadruple the quantity of fuel you would normally gather in each size and keep it piled thick. You will lose a lot of heat to cooking the wood you will later be burning.
If you really NEED the heat, make an elevated rack (like a table) so that your drying wood is elevated above the fire and then pull it down to feed the fire with. This will also reduce the steam/smoke you produce as well as give you better access to your heat at the cost of drying your wood slower. This is also a good strategy if you think there will be rain as you can use it like a roof to protect the fire (still pile it up like you would for any other rain underneath).

Thanks for the tip! Same thing works if you take a small baggie with vasoline soaked cotton balls and keep them in your hat, or your Altoids emergency container!

From a probability perspective, it seems highly likely there is other life in the universe. Have they visited us? I certainly hope not, for chances are high we would not like the results. Look up the Fermi Paradox and the related concept of the Great Filter for reasons why.
Consider the half dozen or so races of intelligent beings recorded as angels. The word angel simply means a messenger. There are many recorded encounters of them in both ancient and modern literature and some truly terrifying forms. I would certainly classify them as alien to this world.

You live in a dome surrounded by water. There is no outer space. This is the reason for why Jesus says He is from above and we are from below. He ascended upwards to sit at the right hand of God the Father.
I'll explain. First there was water.
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

And then there was a firmament, or dome by modern standards, placed in that water.
“And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.”

We live in this same firmament today surrounded by water. This water was also used for noah's flood, when the "windows" of heaven opened.
Your misunderstanding of the word heaven has to do with this. You see, heaven was the name given to the firmament we live inside of. God lives in the heavens of heavens, above the dome. This is why i say this.
“And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

Here's a verse to further emphasize my points.
“Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that be above the heavens.”

They are Demons, not aliens. Children of the Fallen Angels in Genesis 6. If you read extra-biblical Enoch 1 it's all described very well. Their return was predicted throughout the Bible. Yeah, sounds out there (no pun...) but there it is.
