    I just installed these on my car. I like them. The sequential blinking is pretty cool, and they are brighter than the original lights. Thanks for the video!

    Great idea doing it to improve visibility for breaking. They look great. It’s something that’s always in the back of my mind watching for people getting too close.

      @@AndyKruseChannel I’m having a hard time switching to LEDs. I repainted the reflectors and got new red plastic. Something about the warm halogen light looks good on my color car in my opinion. Someday I want to do a restomod mustang.

    Ordered from Summit Racing to Scotland, UK within hours of watching Andy! Thought the upgrade was more expensive as I have been saving for LED halos on the front. Excited to get these fitted now. As always thanks for the useful videos.

    I just did this upgrade on my 64.5 coupe last weekend, but with a different brand of LED assembly that didn't include the red lenses. It made a major difference in brightness and I do like the sequential blinking as well. I didn't pay attention to the different depth of the pins on the bulb housing, so now I'll have to pull them back out to double check that. Thanks for mentioning it.

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, the depth of the pins only seem to be an issue with cheaper bulb manufacturers. These were fine, but I purchased other bulbs for the car that the pins were too short and the bulb wouldn't stay in the socket. :)

      Yes, motor mounts are on my list of things to do. I plan to go with Ron Morris motor mounts, in case that helps. :)

    I've had an uninstalled sequential LED kit for my '68 for years now. My hang-up is that I can not find where the blinker flasher/module that I need to replace is. I'm suspecting it's tucked up behind the console and radio, so at some point I need to get around to taking the whole thing off. I just have to make the time. I'm going to let this video motivate me to take another stab at it.

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад +1

      If you activate your blinker now, you should be able to hear the clicking noise it makes, which should lead you to its location. :)

    I really want to do this to my 66 coupe, but it looks like you can see the individual LEDs...In real life does it look like it does on camera? I think it would look a lot better if they were diffused somehow.

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад +1

      When you're up close you can tell there are LEDs in there. But from the distance that others will see your taillights on the road, the LEDs are not obvious. :)

    • @mando82jr
      @mando82jr 2 года назад +1

      I did it on my 67. Same brand. They look real nice in person. But you can somewhat see the individual leds up close, but a huge improvement regardless. I get alot of compliments on them, "whoa, that's cool. Just like the new mustangs"

    Hey Andy, what's with the fusebox under your vent? Is that an additional box or did you replace the original fuse panel?

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  Год назад

      Yeah, it's just a block where I can pull switched power from for other components I've installed. It's a lazy install location, but I plan to fix that down the road. :)

    What’s your experience with CJPONY? in reference to ship times, I’ve heard of long delays , poor customer support

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад

      I has been all over the map. It was worst during Covid, but it has gotten better. They seem to prefer fixing issues over email, but some of us just want to talk to someone to make sure problem gets resolved. It seems like people on the East Coast prefer NPD because of the relatively quick shipping, but I hate their website, can't find what I'm looking for most of the time. I've had the best luck with Summit Racing, fantastic customer service and quick shipping, and decent prices. But, sometimes CJP has exactly what I need at a fair price, so I go that route when needed.

      @@AndyKruseChannel can’t agree more.
      I tried summit after I noticed you stood by them in past video. Talk about great support. And you’re right NPD seems to have minimal inventory for our models. But again fast shipping. CJ and the videos that guy Bill are also good reference. I’ve gotten odds and ends from O’Reillys too , thanks

    My sequential LED tail lights in my 66 works perfectly until I start the car. Once the car is running they stop working altogether. Any ideas on what would cause them to stop working when the car is running?

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад

      Have you tried reinstalling your original lights to see if it's the wiring or the new taillights? Also, did you upgrade the flasher relay to the one like I mention in the video?

    • @danquinn6187
      @danquinn6187 2 года назад

      Yes bulbs and original flasher everything works all the time. LED’s and LED flasher lights work perfectly until I start the engine. Then LED’s stop working. Yes installed correct flasher unit for LED tail lights.

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад

      @@danquinn6187 Wow, not sure what's happening there. If everything works with the OEM stuff, but not with the new LED stuff, I'm leaning towards some kind of electrical issue, but it's tough to tell without being able to test it. Sorry boss, I wish I was more help. You might be able to reach out to some of the popular web boards and see if someone there knows what it could be. :)

    On my 65 I swapped my exterior lights and put the two terminal flasher in. When I use the turn signals my tail lights and front blinkers work great. The problems now are when I press the brake my left right parking light comes on, and the reverse lights don’t come on now. Also the dash isn’t quite as bright now especially the blinker lights which don’t show. Any advice?

    • @AndyKruseChannel
      @AndyKruseChannel  2 года назад

      Sorry brotha, I don't know fi I'd be a lot of help here. Other than light bulbs, it sounds like the only change to the system was the new flashers. Maybe there's a faulty flasher and it's causing some sort of electrical witchcraft. One option is to put everything back the way it was (assuming it worked perfectly before) to see if you can trace the error or faulty part. :)
