(Jan. 2024) Using your Elgato Stream Deck to Launch any Microsoft App

- In this video I show a command on how you can launch your MS Apps on the Elgato Stream Deck. In the Stream Deck software you'll go to System/Open/ Drag it to an assigned Stream Deck Button/ Paste this command: cmd /c "start xbox:" and then launch the app on your physical, or mobile Elgato Stream Deck. For any app cmd /c "start (App Goes Here):" remove those parenthesis for the command like the Xbox format. I hope this helps for those struggling with Microsoft Apps after the system updates.

i tried this with apps like twitter and netflix and it didn’t work :(( any tips ?
I can test those out, but possibly a url launcher might suffice for those be the app since they are web based.

May I ask what you're using on the lower left for your PC specs? It's such a simple and clean looking plug in I'd love the name of it!
Oh you mean in the stream deck app? That’s the Hwinfo plugin along with the app running in the background so I can check usage and temps always. This helps me decide if I need to changed a display/graphic spec for a game. Usually I don’t have too.

Does anyone know how the elgato stream deck works with already opened games? For example if I have a game open and use the deck to open Spotify, will Spotify open a window above the game etc
In my experience, no. Then again, you can always navigate profiles to get back to any key setups in game. I’m guess you’ll probably do mouse/keyboard/controller so maybe tabbing to the game may still be ideal.

How to close app?
Hm… I guess I could see if I can make one. 😅 Pretty simple, but the issue is it would close out the main window in use, vs the intended app. So I might have to tinker.

I like this idea. I wanted to put a Dolby Access button on my stream deck but when I try this it can't find Dolby or DolbyAccess which I got from Microsoft. Is there a way to find the proper name? I also tried MSI Center and no go.
Checking on this! I’ll get black to you. It should be working with DolbyAccess however I’m experiencing issues too. other apps are working though.
