I’m truly sorry you had to give up your medical career because of the reasons you have shared about the state of healthcare, however, I am really happy you have found passion in your business! And while I know from experience, it is difficult to part with cherished items we have connected with emotionally, seeing your smile when you mention your son means I got no doubt you are going to enjoy this quality time with your home life like no other.:)

I think sharing g your story will help so many women in your similar situation. It’s been 10 years since I retired from a job I truly loved, and I haven’t regretted it for one second. It was a new chapter in my life that was even more important than my last as only I could do this one. Can’t wait to see what you have coming. And selling bags you don’t use in your new life (I did the same as my lifestyle changed) is smart. It’s past earnings that you are using in the way it is best to use them now.

A purge to invest is not a bad thing. I understand the freinds questioning you, same happened to me whhen i condensed my full time hours to 4 days, now they all want to do it!

Hi Emma, I'm a GP in Scotland also very strongly considering leaving the profession to prioritise my family and other commitments. The NHS seems to be a race to the bottom and I cannot cope with the moral injury any longer. I just need to work out what I can do instead to generate some income!
There are so many of us! It's really sad. The changes coming through are quite illogical and totally go against patient safety...so for me that made the decision to leave very easy- how to do it in practice was much more complicated- but I knew I just had to try xx

Welcome back Emma.🥰 You are looking amazing.🥰 I think people may have questioned you walking away from your career because you’re a doctor. We all know how much time and effort it must have taken to achieve such a goal. It’s not like walking away from just a job. It was your career and one to be very proud of. When we adopted our son my husband and I both agreed I’d stay home and I’ve never regretted it. That being said, I didn’t have a big career and I was working part time and not making a ton of money. It was a very easy decision.

I'm similar in the fact i had a large disposable income to zero income per month. 9 months later i've learnt the value of money, and more importantly the meaning of life, and that's to do things that bring you joy. expensive lunches, flash car and designer bags are now nice to haves but getting up every day choosing what I want to do, feed my ducks, go for a swim, meet my parents for a walk are all things i get to do now. just beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the next chapter Emma. thank you for being you! x

I find it helps watching and following other people who are breaking out of their moulds- there are some women I follow who've started hobbies like gymnastics in their fifties- and there's a massive woman on IG who reignited her professional dancing career at a much older than usual age and she's so inspiring- and absolutely killing it. Go for whatever it is you want xx
I’m a 20-year-old im in a combined BS/MD program in NY. Both of my parents are doctors, and so are my brothers, as well as all of my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I have been struggling a lot in my coursework, but I have managed to maintain a pretty high GPA. I’m a sophomore, and my program requires me to take the MCAT this summer, which I don’t feel prepared for. I feel like nowadays, all I hear is negative about the medical field from everyone in my family and people online. However, I am terrified to make a change as I genuinely don’t know what I would do as an alternative. Any advice? Thanks :)

Not all of them! I still love them- but a few more could go. I'm going to do a full collection video with sell/save and I'll decide whilst I do that which will go....
