I am Marvin Rinnig, the guitarist and producer of SFT... I started the band in 1983 and I left the band in late 1990...This track was recorded in 1986 in my home studio with a 4 track Tascam analog recorder. As far as a re-release of "Strobelight Funeral" with bonus tracks, no it hasn't been done. I have all the Master Tapes and I did consider a release of all songs recorded during my tenure, about 25 songs. It just seems too late, does anyone really care about the old original SFT when I was in it - producer/all guitars/treatments ?
Of course! I only knew of Warren and Billy when I first discovered this band in the 90's then got to interview them and include a track from the band on a goth comp I did in the early 2000's. I'm always down for history of the old glory days of goth rock. I'm still old school stuck in my old ways with music as well as movies, retro video games and toys. lol A+++
✨i heard this song in a cheesy documentary from the late 90s / early 2000s about goths (i think it was called "vampire nation"... this song was the best thing in it... i love how contrasting the chorus is, & the guitar solo✨
I seem to be missing this track, and from what I can see, I have Screams for Tina's entire discography. Perhaps I'm missing something? If anyone knows the year for this specific track, let me know!
Do you mean "Amerikan Gothic - the Krypt Kompilation"? I know it's not off Strobelight Funeral or the self-titled lbum. Did they re-release 'Strobelight' with bonus tracks? lol

The Furs are basically what happens when Post-Punk isn't goth so that makes sense.

I love how goth rock is so bass heavy think of sex gang's Sebastian. it starts with a heavy bass riff plus there are two bass guitarists inthe band
GUITAR : MARVIN RINNIG
DRUMS : BOBBY DRIER
