Your man at 9:25 is Shaun Martin, a multi-Grammy-holding soul/gospel musician. He feels this to his bones, and is world-class enough to know how hard Corey's going.
to be fair, the bass is a part of the rhythm section which also includes piano and drums which are both percussion instruments. it’s not too big a stretch.
That was dope... I've never seen anything like that before.. I've seen live bands and that but never a live performance like this with headphones. This was pretty sick ngl..
This album from Snarky Puppy is simply awesome as most of their album are. If you want to ear them with vocals listen to The track Something" featuring Lalah Hathaway. You will be blown away. Lalah is simply the or at least one of the very best jazz singer that ever was. BTW I describe myself as an "Angel" being an Angelina Jordan's Fan. Lalah is simply from an other planet in terms of range and agility. I still like AJ better but that's a question of style more than skills.
Dude, I love your energy on all these reactions. It's just wonderful to watch somebody really appreciate music and enjoy themselves, and to enjoy the music with you. If you love more congas, check out ruclips.net/video/YNK6ZRl1wv8/видео.html where they get a whole minute spotlight. (Yes, it's a 15 minute video. Just press play and I guarantee you'll watch to the end.) Related to Snarky Puppy but a bit more pop, ruclips.net/video/-UBcxKiS550/видео.html has some incredible musicianship, including a short but insane bass solo. (If you listen for it, the bass is just killing it the whole song.)
@@truedarkseed Thanks. They are the most musically enriching band of the past decade imo. All their albums are fire and there are at least 2 more which are live DVD's like this one. Different tracks have different ppl taking solos and the bassist is the founder composer and arranger of the band's music.
Thanks for seeing my comment i hope you enjoyed :) i love your reactions. weird thing is even with all the weird time changes i bet hmack could destroy that song lol. the drummer Larnell Lewis learned like 7 songs or something on a plane trip that was only like 8 hours or something dont quote me but still learning one full song (a song to those magnitudes) should take a week to learn multiple hours before performing. thats goat status. i enjoyed your reaction very much.
Interesting! I think I saw an interview with him on my facebook feed talking about learning the songs on the plane. That was months ago. He was asked how he learned song and then he showed them live and kill a song he had just learned in front of them.
@@truedarkseed heck yeah then you know! He is a monster and bass guitar was apart of our front ensemble in HS band which was all marimbas and vibraphone and shit so yes percussion instrument for sure
The dude playing the percussion ( to be clear, I'm not talking about the drums ), Nate Werth I think his name is, has a band called Ghost Note that's pretty kick ass too. Check out some of the Snarky Puppy videos from the Ground Up LP recordings, or Sylva....the list wont end.
They pulled this together in 4 days!! Recorded in Holland. Bass player Micheal League started the band out of the University of North Texas. He is currently worth 1.5 Billion! The dreamer Larnell Lewis had to be flown in at the last minute. He literally did ent rehearse before they recorded this album live.
Go down the rabbit hole my friend… from this same session, I’d love to see you react to Shofukan (Brings in the Cello & Violins), Outlier, What About Me, Kite & Tio Macacao
I request a reaction to only the true hip hop heads that can really break down word play and complex bars, would love to see you do Fred The Godson on FunkFlex. He’s fairly unknown and passed away April 2020 to COVID before he could get any real recognition.
Idk if you're into beatboxing at all, but I'd really like to see you react to D-Low sometimes. He's insane. I recommend: D-low | Winner's Compilation | SBX KICKBACK BATTLE 2021
I love beatboxing. I used to beatbox when I a teen, never to the level that these guys are. They are insane! I will definitely check that out. Beatboxing is anyother part of hip hop many don't respect or understand the skill it takes to do.
Phenomenal. .Recorded in The Netherlands, Utrecht, Kytopia Studios. This band was also on the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2013 and 2014. Again here in Tilburg, July 12th 2022. European tour second half of this year.....if....allowed.

Thanks, I had an argument with a guy tha didn't agree with me. lol it was jsut a fun agrument, nothing serious. lol
A good bass player makes everything work. A bad bass player ruins everything, enough said.

Are these songs, bands, or artist?

It was @garrett that requested it.

Hey Tim, email these to me please. I'm leaving for work now and don't have time to add them to my list.
Pls continue doing more of this band you won't regret it.
Oh, I definitely plan on doing more!

Awesome, sounds good. I'll give it a listens.
Ghost note is another killer band with high level musicians. Im a huge Mono Neon fan
Yes yes, do check out Ghost Note! They are at this level too, just off the hook monstrous
Just did a reunion with some of my infantry boys down in NOLA and spent one night going to jazz bars, it was so refreshing.

Oh, you know I peeked down the hole. lol
That's right man, you got the feelz when you listen!
No fight necessary. All guitars are percussion instruments. People who care about facts already know. It's not a matter of opinion.
:) Thanks Andrea!
lol…often wrong, never uncertain
Do you world song reaction lol that lingus one made my day
You are 100% right - bass is right there at the center of the rhythm section for SURE
Thanks Christopher! "All about the percussion baby!" lol. What movie did I take this from? (himt: he didn't say percussion)
Yeah I'm grooving to this.
