I'm a rap and sports fan but, I've never looked for anything else from them. There are exceptions but typically creators are not balanced folk, and athlete are narrow in lifes spectrum.
I think I agree. I can enjoy creative expression and leave it there. But when an artist sticks to principles and codes of a man and pushes that agenda, they stand out more to me. And I do get the option to tap into the expression of these artists for inspiration. The choice is ours. Which wolf do you want to feed. Which food do you choose to eat. What words do you want hypnotizing your children. The industry works on supply and demand. At the end of the day, we are getting the artists we demand
