06 Silver LJR 6spd. I have kept it stock as possible. Engine: Check the OPDA has been replaced w/ a Crown unit. Lighting: LED headlights, LED bulbs in the tail lights, back up lamps, internal overhead domes and under dash courtesy lamps. For the Rear indicators to work you will need to swap in an LED capable module in steering column to resolve hyper flash. For me replacing the incandescent front indicators and side markers wasn't worth rigging up resistors to create enough draw for them to function/blink reliably. These were designed without LEDs in mind so they rely on the bulbs using more watts than LEDs do to sync the blinking. I do believe the brighter rear brake lights and signals are worth it module swap but YMMV. A good cargo mat in the back is amazing! I use a carpet remnant and I see you have like a weather tech mat! I have 2" belt loops bolted into the hard top anchor points with nylon web belts to anchor duffles for storage on the wheel houses. I have to steam the padding in the seats occasionally to refresh the support of the foam it dries out and shrinks. Some ideas.

Oh! I had good luck sourcing LED bulbs from Superbright LEDs and bad luck with other vendors. It sucks when your brake lights don't actually work, so I still check all my lights regularly. Also pick a warm white color temp for your dome lights cause you don't want inside your jeep to light up like a 2005 refrigerator with 6K LEDs . I thk I was happy with 5K White... I use red or other colors sometimes for summer fun, camping, stagazing, night stuff in the over heads.

I had a 2002 SWB TJ Sport Wrangler with the half doors, bought new back in the day. I just loved the half doors, it was sooooooo much more open air and freeing. Not so good for the winter in Colorado, but worth swapping in for summer. The full doors really killed the Wrangler for me. I live in Queensland, Australia which is equivalent to San Diego in climate.

04 LJ sport, 4 inch Rock Jock lift with Currie ends, 33x12.50x15 Falken wildpeak ATs, and a badlands winch upfront. The best mods so far that I’ve done. RC plate relocation bracket, KC factory replacement fog lights, JW speaker headlights, Ken wood radio with the quadratec harness, daystar upper dash tray, RC seat covers, bestop fastback top, kicker speaker upgrade kit with sub. If you have any social media I can send you pictures of everything.

They make 265 KO2s BFG for it. I’d get those

Nice! I’m in about 3 months with a new to me 2006 LJ Rubicon, with light first mods done. It’s sitting on a 2.5” lift on 265’s. With a winch and some armor. I’m Down in the Littleton area.

Nice rig. Welcome to the LJ family. As far as mods start with the foundation. Get a good lift? You need to decide between a short arm lift or long arm. Good wheels and then tires. If you are planning on doing rock crawling or just overlanding. Now is the time to decide. You can also build a rocklander. That's sort of the avenue I took. There are so many different aftermarket companies that make good products out there for your Jeep. My one suggestion is you come out to Moab Easter Jeep Safari and visit the vendor show. You can talk to different vendors and educate yourself on good and bad products that are out there. Like they say, "You get what you pay for." My LJ is a 05 Rubicon. It was bone stock when I bought it three years ago. I previously owned a 04 TJ Rubicon. The LJ now has a TNT long arm lift on it 35" BF Goodrich KM3's on 15-inch Mammoth wheels, Rock Hard rear bumper and tire carrier, Warn front bumper and winch. Oh! And 4.88 gears in the differentials (it's an automatic). I think the winch you have is a good one. Keep it, just clean it up, service it and put synthetic rope on it. Keep the seats and put some covers on them. If you are a tall guy. Put some seat risers on the front seats. One thing I know for sure is there are a lot of people out there who are willing to give you advice, and not all of it is good. Just educate yourself and do what you want. After all, it's your Jeep, and you need to be happy with it. Jeeps are expressions of their owners. Make it yours and have fun with it. I live down in southwest Colorado. Colorado has some of the best trails in the country. You're going to love owning a Jeep.

For audio, I'd highly recommend CT Sounds. They're about half the price of other brands and really high quality. I've used their speakers, subs and amps in my Jeep and have been super impressed.
