    Hi, on the last question why did you add 30ft^2 + 14.13? why wouldn't you multiply since the question is asking to find the area. LxW

    • @bcraftmath
      @bcraftmath  2 года назад +3

      Lenght x width applies to the yellow rectangle which was the 30 square feet. You ADD on the area of the half-circle (which was 14.13 sq ft) to find the total area of the shape.

  • @thinkpinkld
    @thinkpinkld 3 года назад +2

    In the 3rd problem, I don’t understand why you were able to multiply all by 12. Wouldn’t you have to multiply each denominator by a number so they all equal 12? I multiplied each 6 by 2 and 3 by 4. But I didn’t end up with the same answer😩

      Hey there. You will get the hang of this technique with more practice. Check out this video where I spent an entire live session covering this exact topic: ruclips.net/video/SSJ_m8dU_Yg/видео.html

    Question when do you cross multiply then?

    • @bcraftmath
      @bcraftmath  2 года назад +1

      Cross multiplying and dividing is common with solving proportions.

    These questions can be solved with a calculator or no, on the real test?

    • @bcraftmath
      @bcraftmath  3 года назад +1

      A basic four function calculator can be used on the TEAS test.
