i have s problem with using the Malachi scriptures on tithing. if you can't use it for cursing, you can't use the blessing part either.

The cursing part came as a result of the law, the blessing part is outside the law. Read Gen 14: 18-20

You are under Grace not the law.

Jesus removed the curse from all parts of the law. He did not remove the blessing. The tithe did not pass away after the cross just the penalty for not tithing. Our giving today is totally based on love.

tithing is not New testament christian doctrine at all. just goes to say that no preacher has perfect knowledge. this sermon does not make it any better. it s all wrong! no such doctrine in the New testament, on the contrary, it speaks against it!!

Nowhere in the Bible is tithing referred to as a "principle" and at no point were biblical tithes received from earned wages. The tithe indictments in Malachi chapter 3 can't be universally applied either currently or historically and they had nothing to do with paying money to today's version of a "church". God isn't a mob boss or a slot machine.

Tithe was regulated by the law called 'Ordinance or Statute ' in the Old Testament . Melchesadech's gave but not from his wages, and he did once. And was not instructed nor given clear instructions that he should tithe specifically money on a monthly basis . I'm yet to read that scripture that gives clear instructions to that effect. Instead of pulling scriptures randomly twist them to authenticate this narrative.

      Abraham tithed money..

    • @markb7067

@@calebgibson55 "Spoils of war" may or may not have included money and there's no biblical evidence Abraham ever tithed on any other occasion or from any of his personal wealth.

@@markb7067 That’s very laughable.. Come on man.. *You really believe Lot didn’t have one dime on him*

@@calebgibson55 And even if he did, do you think that's why Abraham came to save him? The point is there's no such thing as a biblical, compulsory tithe received from earned wages. Not New Testament, or Old. Today's version of tithing carries no biblical precedent. As such, no biblical obligation.
