    I used to use my Moondrop Quarks DSP every day because of how neutral they sounded and, more importantly, how small and comfortable they are. I just hate the non-detachable cable on it, and the DSP chip kinda makes my phone bug out, so it's stayed in a drawer ever since I got the similarly small and comfortable IE600. Even when travelling, it's easier to just bring a dongle than deal with the terrible cable on my Quarks DSP when listening on my phone. Glad to see detachable cables on DSP IEMs now, but the pace of innovation has been surprisingly slow this past year.

      Actually using them for around a month and must say - these are my endgame probably. Bass is nice deep, has a good kick, trebles are detailed but not piercing, mids are finely tuned as well. And something I didn’t expect from them is the comfort, they fit percussion to my ears
      Highly recommend

    Hello, can you suggest me an IEM under 50$ for male vocals(clarity and detail). I don't need anything else like soundstage or technicality but I only care for natural or a bit forward sounding male vocals.
    Please suggest a similar option around 20$ as well and tell me how much is the difference between them just to know if it's worth to spend double than the 20$ set. Thanks in advance

      I myself have the truthear x crinacle zeros (I got the red ones that are 5$ more but the blue ones are 50$) that have some really good lower range capabilities. Honestly one of my favorite audio devices, especially considering price. The cheapest headphones I have bought are the space travelers, which are uncomfortable but sound alright (the scream and instrumentals in dig by mudvayne comes through with slightly less detail and depth compared to my 200$ audiotechnica bluetooth headphones - that's actually pretty decent when price is factored). Which for 25$ is not that bad but still I'd try a chu or something else instead as they really do take a minute to get used to they are as uncomfortable as the apple headphones. Aside from those I can't say much about what else exists.

    Hello sir, I live in India and have a budget of around INR 5000(50$).
    I want to buy an IEM but I'm confused between CCA Rhapsody, Simgot EW200, 7Hz Sonus and KZ PR3(all of them are around the same price bracket) [you could suggest anything else as well]
    My first IEM was the Moondrop SSR which I loved because of the details and soundstage, I was blown away with it's quality(a lot of people found it excessive but I don't think I'm sensitive to any frequency)
    Please tell me which is superior is which aspect, I want to get something that blows me away with it's clarity, detail retrieval, soundstage(keep in mind I'm not sensitive to certain frequencies that people call to be shouty).
    Please help so that I make the best decision.

    I don't know guys what you expect for a price and already with type c connector. Other headphones from moondrop cost at least 2-6 times more.😂 all this reviews here for me looks bit stoned. So if reviewer very like crinacle red for me it is not looks like it is most important choice because i guess details in sound will be even more low in this case than in moondrop may. And smooth bass here is not most important thing in sound. This is just my opinion and for some other person can be different.

      Some years ago KZ headphones was very popular and many people was sure like it is best of the best, but now not many people talking about it and real quality of KZ products is not very high. But you still can buy some kz headphones in 3$ price and it is will be really good for the price. So May is nothing special it seems, the only kind of cool thing is the DSP cable, but that was already available in the freeDSP. And just like that product the software bugginess and lack of features is the limitation. Apparently there is a lot of incidental noise when the DSP cable changes things, and the software has a limited PEQ with only a few bands with peak filters only; That's if you can get it to recognize in the app at all which often fails. I want this kind of product to be good but it needs a lot more effort, even FiiO software is better than this.

      @@kaeroseonthe planar on the May only does treble above 8k iirc, it is pretty unreasonable to hold it to the same standards to the Dioko when it's not a full range planar, and FYI NONE of the marketing material claimed it to be a full range planar.
      I get that you aren't the target audience for the May but there still are use cases for DSP, mainly for the convenience of users that stay on their phone longer than on their PC. Moondrop's PEQ is also convenient when most dongles don't provide that feature and perhaps only the paid version of Poweramp on android is comparable.

    • @kaeroseon
      @kaeroseon 9 месяцев назад

      @@blackcum2275 makes sense. I don't want to disregard the use case for dsp at all, but moondrop's dsp has a lot of issues and the app isn't polished. But I guess I did get a little over excited when I saw planar.

      @@blackcum2275 but even then when you are pricing an iem at around over 50 bucks it has to be excellent to be a genuine option and the may just doesn't hit that bar when stuff like the zero:red with an apple dongle is the same price or the hexa is available for 15 more dollars.
