We've always gone in Apr/May or Sept/Oct time frame since its nice temps and usually smaller crowds. We just went last Friday to TDS and it was so hot, but we didn't want to miss out going with the attendance so low right now.

My wife and I are planning to take a trip to Asia in April 2025, specifically to line up with the cherry blossoms. We're going to hit up all four Disney parks (Shanghai, then Hong Kong, then Tokyo & DisneySea), then spend a week in Japan afterwards. We've been planning this trip for years and we're both very much looking forward to going. Thanks for your videos!

Just about everyone I know does not want to go to Tokyo Disney because they say it’s the same thing as the US ones or they’re just not interested in theme parks. I guess I’ll go it alone and experience these parks by myself when I go to Japan! This is exactly one of the things I wanted to know. Very useful information

Your guide was so helpful when I visited both Disney parks and Universal Studios in Osaka in 2019. I ended up going in the first couple of weeks in November, and on weekdays Wednesday and Thursday. It was really good as I hardly needed to wait over an hour for rides, and the ones that had longer wait times I wasn't too interested in. I'm not used to crowds so it was crowded to me but I can't imagine any more than that! So glad I went at that time. I still watch your videos in anticipation for my next visit in 2023!!

Been to Tokyo Disney in January, April, and October. I loved the cold weather in January! But I also loved October because I got to see everyone dressed up in costume. Unfortunately it was really rainy and a typhoon passed thru Japan. But people STILL dressed to the nines in their costumes. I saw a girl dressed as Belle in her full ballgown in the rain!

I took my family to the Tokyo Disney Resort in June of 2019. I said, "It will be the rainy season, but with the rain comes less crowds," and they said, "Let's go for it!" We packed umbrellas and raincoats and it did not stop us from having a good time at all. It only rained off and on for about 1/2 the days we were there.
I have visited in September for the Halloween event a few times as well. I was planning to go in December in 2020, but sadly had to cancel that trip. I can't wait to visit and see the park during its Christmas Event!
OMG! The picture of you on your first visit! You were such a newbie! Very fun to watch!
I really enjoyed this video, Chris, Thank you!

We like to visit the Tokyo Disney parks in both early April and late October. We once had a completely rainy day at DisneySea, but loved it since we just nearly all of it inside Mermaid Lagoon, the shops, and the Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage ride all with very low crowds (shortest wait ever for popcorn that day too) 😉

I've always hoped that when I can visit it'd be for Easter season & fascinated to hear that it actually continues into May and June. But as you say avoiding 'golden' week at the end of April & first week into May. So mid May would be a good call for me as the temp sounds good for me too. x

Been there twice, all in July due to business reason (we have something else going on in Nagoya, so might as well go TDL)
Had a lot of fun at the 1st visit (Disney Land) ,but not so much on our 2nd trip (DisneySea), one coz the Pirates event was cancelled due to sudden rain , and we waited 3-4 hours for the Journey to the Center of the Earth ride but turns out it was broken! We all got a fast pass to any rides we want but it’s already too late.
Love this guide, hopefully we can go there at the month we want and not on business trip!

Hey Chris - love you - you have great content up on RUclips - super helpful - we did get your most recent guide (2020 ?) a couple months ago - IT's really Excellent - it's really hard to find Tokyo Disneyland info here in the States -
We were planning a trip to Japan next year - 2022 - but actually changed it to 2023 after watching one of your previous videos - Although we've traveled a good amount in North America and Europe - this would be our first trip to Asia - and Japan specifically. Really excited about it and my husband and I will be traveling with our college age son - who is a Japanophile - and we also love Disney - usually go to Disney World in Fla usually - because we live in the Mid Atlantic of US but have been to Disneyland Paris and are going to Disneyland in CA in August!!!
Anyway, long way to ask - we are planning about a 2 week trip in May 2023 (after Golden Week;) want to see Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka (at least one night for my son for street food etc... thinking that we will probably do a Disney Package (at end of trip) since this will be a big trip - would like to stay at the MiraCosta :) ... feel like giving the Disney part 3 days during out two weeks is getting a good taste but there's also just too much else we want to see in Japan...
So as mentioned above I've clearly seen your guide and purchased it -as well as watching many of your videos - but do you also do any consulting on traveling in Japan (outside the theme parks) - because if not you should :) - if not, do you have any body you work with - that you're affiliated with? (I'm not looking for a full out guided tour -maybe some day tours in cities and advice about allocating our time.... OK - I've written you a letter now - sorry about that - but really do love your site and respect the thought you put into your Tokyo Disney Advice as well as the Osaka parks...
Final Shout Out - Definitely buy his Guide Book -Totally worth it and so much valuable planning info!!!

I’ve been to Tokyo Disney twice now, two different years, once in July and once in October and both times journey to the center of the earth and ride & go seek we’re both closed 😭 guess that means I’ll just have to plan another trip!

I went during a typhoon in September and the crowds were low, it was so nice! Haha

Because of the TDR Explorer guide, I learned November 3rd is a Holiday. Does that increase the crowds? 🤔
Would have been last year, but, yeah ... I 'm actually looking forward to be going during the interevent period of November 1st - 3rd, as I will be able to experience the park "naked" for a first time visit, giving me the opportunity to experience the park itself. 😊

Hi Chris! Thanks for your sharing your knowledge about tokyo disneyland.
Do you know anything about the castle refurbishment? We're thinking of going for first time on a disney vacation package either mid or end November, depending on which is busiest, for christmas celebration, supposedly sunny/dry weather, on a Tuesday to Thursday for lowest crowds possible. If you have any remark about this plan I'd love to hear. Gratefully, Pierre from Vancouver

What are your thoughts on visiting just a few days before the start of Golden Week? Do students skip school to start their holiday early? Just a thought...

Thanks for this video. I’m stuck with kids vacay schedule during summer June-aug or winter dec-Jan. My question is if you have a choice, would you prefer coming late June or come during high peak winter months for New Year season after Christmas?
