Sappy storytime: Young The Giant is a band that me and the man I want to marry have so much connection to. We would sit at the lake for hours and hours, talking or even sleeping, in his truck, with YTG playing after I introduced him to them on our first date on a bench, in the downtown mall at midnight, because we didn’t want to leave each other that night. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and getting to see this band live before covid came around really meant more than we can still explain. Two and a half years later, I’m more in love with him than I ever have been and YTG songs is the soundtrack to our life together. ♥️ These are the songs that will forever play softly in the background as we lead a life of loving and healing with each other.
Thank you for helping us fall in love. ♥️ we loved this quarantine live-stream, we watched live and it was so much joy in a time of such sadness.

I had completely forgot about them for about 5 years and just randomly started singing this song in my head. An absolute tune, a song I consider to be a “perfect song” for me. I have been to 4 of your concerts and anytime someone has asked my favorite band since I was 10- till now (I'm 19) I ALWAYS say Young The Giant! Love yall soo much, I listen to your music almost every day and it's got me through some of the hardest moments in my whole life. LOVE THIS, THIS VIRTUAL CONCERT WAS INSANELY EPIC!

This is my absolute favorite song from Young The Giant. Can't believe it's been 10 years since the first time I listened to this gem. I was supposed to see them live for my birthday this year but COVID happened. Still, so thankful they're together and making great music.

I just remembered I bought a ticket for the concert on Monterrey, MX the 15th May but, the quarantine started and they cancelled for obvious reasons, and I lost the opportunity to see them on live :(

I was going through their In The Open recordings and found myself here. Tears in my eyes, man. This is probably my favourite YTG song. Takes me back to a happier time riding the bus and and watching the world pass me by from the window seat

I have listened and seen live too many bands to even count in my 50+ plus years. The great ones are the ones you always go back too. YTG is one of them. At least once a week I listen to at least one of their songs, but I have had them back on heavy rotation lately. Very, very good, tigh tband, outstanding vocals and more important...their sound is timeless and I love even more ther roots are in local Irvine, CA.

Man it seems like not that long ago they were the new hot band on the rise. . . and here they are doing a 10 year anniversary tour. Even though I don't listen or follow them anymore their music will always remind me of those late highschool early college days. Congrats Young The Giant!!
