    I just purchased my Sana 727 as a birthday present to myself and received it 7 days ago. I've probably already made a gallon and a half of juice, using carrots, celery, red bell peppers, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, ginger, and gala apples. I tried the higher speeds as a test, but now use the slowest speed for everything. It's easy to clean, and the juice is fantastic. I have a vacuum sealer and pumped the air out, but there was no air bubbling out of the liquid at all, unlike your demonstration with another juicer. I'm totally happy with this. I have had a Champion juicer for decades, but I'll be selling that now. I believe this is the best juicer on the market.

    So the Sana 727 arrived today. I am blown away with this juicer.
    I juice 1100g of celery daily in a vacuum blender which gave me 32 Oz of juice. The 727 gives me 30 Oz on the lowest speed. That is incredible for a single auger juicer! 😊 The dual hopper makes in easy to feed in leafy greens and berries etc and the variable speed motor is a great addition. You can choose the pace you want to go at. I will mostly use the lowest speed to get the highest yield and nutrition. The best juicer I've owned and I've owned an Omega NC800 Sana 808 and an Angel Juicer so that is saying a lot! 😊

      Mark, thank YOU for the comparison of the Vac blender vs 727. Wow! I didnt know the difference was so slow. Sometimes I dont want to "vacuum juice" and strain, and I will use a juicer.

    Update: Thanks again for this review, John! I am enjoying my Sana 727 juicer, but was confused about which speed to use for celery. The owner's manual suggests juicing celery on speed 3. I prefer the slowest speed, but because of the manual instructions, I was confused about which speed was appropriate for celery. Seems it's a matter of personal preference. I'm with you...I'll juice celery on the slowest speed from now on! Your test results were extremely helpful to me :) Take care :)

    Just bought this juicer last week after seeing John's comparison videos, and it is amazing. I came from using a centrifugal LaLanne Power Juicer Express the past 5 yrs. Juicing leafy greens in this thing is phenomenal, but it also juices hard vegetables amazingly too. Cleanup is insanely easy and quick. I will be saving money in the long run due to the yield I get with this. I juice mostly veggies, not much fruit. Thanks John for all the comparison videos, you helped me choose the right juicer for me.

    Hey John, I know people want you to do more tests with different produce and different juicers than is humanly possible, but would you consider trying straight pineapple in this thing at low and high speeds? Pineapple alone does not usually work very well in horizontal single auger machines, so it would be interesting to see how this beast handles the challenge.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 года назад +3

      While the sana 727 may be able to better handle pineapple than other single auger juicers, I would recommend a vertical juicer for pineapple. It is most important to select HARD and FIRM pineapple for best results.

    Hi John- does the 727 yield considerably more juice than the 848? I will be doing a mixture of kale, celery, apples, cukes, carrots. Mainly super healthy stuff with a little fruit to sweeten it up. I REALLY want the better motor of the 727. But like the design, clean up and the fact that the 848 come with the vacuum container. I thought I was leaning toward the 848 cause of the nut butter idea but you have to add oil to your nuts. Not interested in adding extra fat to my nut butters. Basically if the 848 had the DC motor and I was told that the yield is super close, I would have purchased the 848 from you yesterday:)

      @discountjuicers  2 года назад +1

      For 80% leafy greens, I would go with the 727, as the Nama While it will juice them, it will create more foam than the 727 at 40 rpm. That being said, the Nama will be "easier" as you just load up the hopper and walk away. The 727 is more quiet. If you had a fruit dominated % then the J2 would be a better option, IMO.

    This juicer has a number of disadvantages: 1. the tip cannot cope with fiber, it is wound around the screw and it is often difficult to clean this because the manufacturer does not provide that this is necessary. 2. it is absolutely not suitable for celery, of course it is suitable, but it is pure torture. my juice therapy ends with endless washing of this machine, which turned my morning into agony.
    It’s a pity, it looks great, for this price you expect a little something different and yes, Sana’s customer service does not have the uniqueness that is being said, they simply do not answer emails! I
    don't recommend it at all.

    Hello John, another great review! Thank you. How does it compare to the current Nama? Also i’d really appreciate your opinion on choice of a commercial juicer brand, do you think good nature is the best? The way their juicers work sort of remind me of the “pure juicer.” Because of the high speed blending prep it requires i keep wondering if the quality of it’s juice qualifies to be called “cold pressed”

    Do you know if in the Sana 727, it can be used with hard vegetables such as beets, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc. at speed 1 (40rpm) or it is a lot of punishment for the motor, because the manufacturer says that they should go at speed 3

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Год назад

      The Juicer can be run at any speed you would like. When you do run at a lower RPM, you will need to SLOW down when feeding produce into the machine, or it will auto-reverse on you. This is a DC motor, so it should have PLENTY of torque to handle the roots at a lower rpm. That being said, for BEST results, Sana USA recommends using the juicer at the recommended speeds which is stated in the instruction manual. If you choose to use a different RPM, your results may vary.

      Each one has their own set of pros and cons. I prefer the 727 because the cleaning takes me 90 seconds. The J2 takes me about 5 minutes to clean. The 727 WILL be faster to make juice at the higher speed than the j2. the Sana 727 will also make a HIGHER quality juice with less foam/air when used at 40 rpm than the J2 that will add more air into the juice, IMO. Of course, the J2 makes juicing easy, so dont have to push the produce into the juicer. So it just depends on you. The 727 will be more quiet running than the J2. The 727 has a full 15 yr warranty on the entire machine, and the J2 has a 15 yr warranty on the motor, but only 2 years on the parts, although Nama says they will ensure their customers at satisfied after the 2 years, but there is nothing on paper to this extent. The J2 is also a much larger juicer. The 727 also has the option to make nut butter, frozen fruit sorbet and cold pressed oil with the optional oil extractor. The Nama J2 is only designed to make juice only.

      @@2711marcus precutting isn't a big deal..it takes only a few seconds when you stack the celery together and it can be done whilst the juicer is processing the other stalks. Also i find cutting allows it to process the stalks faster. Cleaning needs to be done well otherwise it affects the performance of the machine if the screen isn't thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning the vertical juicer parts takes time and makes juicing less enjoyable for me. I think the motor on this machine is what sets it apart from the any other. Its a horizontal but can do varying speeds and can run without overheating which will be the best for longevity. I would go with this. If not this I would go with another horizontal such as an EUJ606 or 707. The 707 looks much nicer but the 606 has the end cap nozzle to maximise yield.

    Which juicer works best for celery, cucumber, apples and leafy greens would you suggest the new j2 juicer from nama or the Sana 727 juicer and is the Sana juicer bpa free on the plastic parts im looking to upgrade my juicer I have now .

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 года назад +5

YES! 727 is bpa free.

      @@discountjuicers OK now you disappoint me. All these years you said you preferred the vertical juicer (especially now the NAMA) because you don't like feeding the hopper. NOW you said you prefer this one because the cleaning is faster? Not buying it. If you said because it's more nutrients (because it's VERY SLIGHTLY SLOWER) okay but you didn't say that. Then of course you get a longer warranty and that extra functionality stuff - IT'S $300 MORE MONEY!! Funny you didn't mention THAT.

      @@tanshievlogs about 2 years. I personally love it cause it always gives me really good yield, has a great warranty, and is pretty fast with both juicing and cleanup. I really can't complain at all about my experience with it. I've had a chance to use a few juicers from Tribest, Omega, and Hurom and for me the Kuvings was my preference. It really depends on what you want from the juicer and what you mostly plan on juicing. The Kuvings, Hurom and Omega vertical juicers do a good job with pretty much everything overall, especially if you're adding fruits to the mix but if you are mostly doing a leafy juice it won't give you as much yield as a horizontal juicer, but again I've found that the horizontal juicers don't yield as much as verticals with mostly fruit juices. Cleanup is easy for the most part on both of those types of units. Twin gear juices like an Angel or the Tribest Greenstars typically make the highest juice yields overall plus you can make things like pasta with them as well. The only downside with those is that the cleanup takes a little bit longer. The parts were easy and quick but cleaning some of the tight spaces with hands as big as mine was not a picnic. Tribest, Kuvings, and Omega all offer at least 10 year warranties on all parts plus the unit so the coverage is good. Honestly IMO you can't go wrong with a juicer from any of those brands. If you want a good overall experience then look at the Kuvings or Omega vertical juicers, if you want the highest amount of juice yield and alot of versatility and the cleanup doesn't bother you then check out the Tribest Greenstars, and if you want a juicer that does the best job at primarily leafy greens while not taking up much headspace then check out the single gear horizontal juicers like the Tribest Solostar 4 and Omega NC800/900. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Hope that helps

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  2 года назад +4

      Its not virtually the same. The MM900 is also a single auger juicer like the Sana 727, but that is where the similarities end.. The MM900 is made in China, the Sana 727 in S. Korea. The 727 has a motor that cost 3x more than the MM900 and has no run time limit. The MM900 has a 30 minute usage time limit. The 727 has a unique anti-jam feature so it will automatically reverse should you overload the juicer. The MM900 requires you to manually press the reverse and then forward button. The 727 has a unique cutting blade that presses out the produce a 2nd time before it is ejected, the MM900 relies on a higher pressure green silicone gasket that will generate more heat in the pulp and juice and cause more oxidation of the juice. I am planning a MM900 vs Sana 727 so I can better explain the difference.
