- On August 11th 2012 Celtica -Pipes Rock performed at Altstadtzauber Klagenfurt, Austria, another song from their album "Oceans of Fire": What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor. They rock the traditional shanty, including fire juggling, flame throwers on guitar and bass, burning cymbals and fire spitting.The crowd loves it: It´s Ho Hey time!

My 16 month old grandson loves Celtica (as do I) and this is his favourite song!

So, a brief note on how I found this. I'm DMing a party in D&D and one of my players is playing a dwarven bard who uses bagpipes as his instrument. He is accompanied by a monk who can only fight to the beat of his music...but the bard can only play music if he is drunk. This is now the party's theme song...and my GOD does it sound badass.
If I had a nickle for every Drunken Sailor metal cover in my playlist... well, I'd have a dime, but it's still notable that there are two of them.
...as a drunken sailor myself, I recommend buying him another drink.
This band is awesome!!! I may have to shelter in place because of COVID but I can still enjoy freaking great music.

With all the bouncing around, one wonders just how traditional their outfits are. That aside, absolutely great music!!
The outfits of the men are as traditional as it gets, they're wearing proper kilts. You don't have to prove you're a member of a clan to wear the colours. The ladies can wear whatever they like, as long as they wear something ... :)
I was at a wedding in the Scottish Highlands recently. It lasted a week ... all the men were wearing kilts and all the women wore trousers (pronounced "troosers" (roll your r's, mind!)). It was an enchanting (and rather boozy) event which will stay with me for the rest of my days.
Celts know how to celebrate life ...
And yes, Celtica's music is wonderful, it comes from the heart.

I asked a male friend (a Scot, familiar with kilts) and he says that bouncing around is no prrroblem (lol) as long as you don't go around standing on "yer noggin'"
And no, kilts and underwear don't go together... apparently ... :D
