Ezreal main issue is his garbage target AI. Usually 2 casts are enough to get rid of the back line, but most of the time he's like a dog on a chase and lose focus because of a butterfly and ult that 1 star 2 cost in the opposite corner when the other corner has everyone aligned.
it's the kind of thing that its like good if you hit everything on time and get gigabis and get good augments and the stars align I did get a first with it before. But yeah it's really mid most of the time
This comp got founded in the chinese FFGS, the chinese version of tft. Ezreal is much stronger in that game, is what the chinese guide said about that comp. So this comp is not meant to be that good at our tft, even tho it can be played from some spots to even get a first. In FFGS its actually really popular, really contestet every game and people get match histories with a lot of 1sts and 2nds only

But the Meta still differs a lot - meaning different comps are stronger. TFT is like an insanely complicated version of Paper Scissors Rock in some degree. If Rock is popular, Paper also becomes strong. In a 2-cost reroll meta, 2-costs become strong, fast 8 comps are weaker as you bleed out before you hit etc. In China players are typically very aggressive early game and roll down earlier to spike faster - putting pressure on all players to roll down and stabilise earlier. Hit Ezreal fast and he wipes early-mid game boards. He's strong but doesn't do as well into late game boards. Interestingly TFT Games overall in China end sooner than other regions because of this pressure to roll down early for stronger boards. Greeding for late game gets punished hard. NA and OCE -typically- tend to focus on slower more economy-focused strategies making it safer to fast 8.

Taric hard counters this ezreal comp btw he just absorbs the shots and ezreal ends up doing nothing
He redirects them which in some cases hurts your comp more than helping it. I’ve seen taric redirect Ez ult and kill the taric teams main carry before
