In case anyone is looking for a way to grind levels, and enhancement points(works nicely till at least level 30 or so) Play a ms marvel, fully upgrade her "giant foot spinny thing!" Select 3 low leveled characters you want to level up Load up any infinity trail with a kill x amount of enemies goal And start spamming the hell out of "giant foot spinny thing!" When youre out of energy simply use her basic fast attack a few times and your meter will be full within seconds Energy is added based on if an attack connects to a enemy, but she has such huge range that she hits multiple with every swing, and energy gets added based on how many enemies are hit So your meter will be full again in seconds You gain about 2000/3000 xp every 30 to 60 seconds maybe?(including xp cubes) Ms marvel has to be at least level 20 to unlock "giant foot spinny thing!"
My pro tip is to BLOCK often. It makes boss fights much easier. Dodge is a given, but blocking actually keeps you in a good position to counter attack. Also, being hit increases your extreme gauge.
My heart rejoices to see you back doing what you do best! Had the honor of playing along side you during the glory days of Marvel Heroes Omega. As always thank you for your tips and guidance in MHO and now in MUA3. Great to see your still Hawkeye!
Here are some tips of mine: • Dodge (or jump/fly/swing over low) single-hit attacks rather than blocking; you can completely avoid damage from telegraphed boss attacks • Manually aim extreme attacks by facing the direction you want it to be used in, only use one at a time unless you're pummeling a stunned boss, don't waste them against a single weak enemy or two or against a boss that's approaching a split in its health meter, but also don't keep the meter full for a long time since it could otherwise be filling up for another use • Choose ISO-8 crystals based on the challenge when applicable, such as enhancing extreme meter charge and extreme attack damage for extreme trials • Have a good sense of each ability's base damage, stagger damage, attack pattern (range, direction, spread, duration, etc.), and execution (press, hold, or tap) so that you can strategically choose when and how to use each one • If you're going for a star with a short time limit during a trial, just run/fly/swing past all the standard enemies to save time • Throwable objects deal massive damage, so it's usually best to always use them unless you think you'll be hit before you can throw it • One-hit synergy attacks might not stun if they're the last hit against the stagger meter; I tend to use basic attacks to take down the bar with enough EP saved and then use a synergy attack to stun if I'm not sure it'll hit multiple times • You can dodge out of anything except for attack animations, meaning if you're reviving a character and about to get hit, you can dodge right out of it and then continue where you left off • Treasure chests seem to show a random combination of abilities that you currently have in your team, so just switch to a character that has a matching symbol when you hold ZR; you might need to position yourself closer to a certain character if the right synergy attack doesn't happen • If you don't have extreme attacks ready, the next best way to maximize damage against stunned bosses when playing solo seems to be frantically switching to a character, using a synergy attack if one's available, and repeating until they're no longer stunned • You can use XP cubes during gameplay; since leveling up restores all HP and EP, cubes can be used strategically when you're close to dying with no revives left • Similarly, you can take advantage of the level-up restore by getting your XP close to a level-up before a tough boss fight or trial so that you can unleash a bunch of synergy attacks, level up, and have full energy again
This popped up in my recommended and I completely forgot about this channel. Used to watch you all the time back when marvel heroes was still out and now that I've found you again making content for ultimate alliance 3 I'm hyped man
you used to play marvel heroes? I played it on PC, was sad to see it go. My Mr Knight costume. I spent so much on skins for that game. Learned my lesson about spending money on kind of obscure games like that though. ha ha.
I just stack my team with characters who have great stagger attacks. Psylocke, Iron Man, Hulk, and Deadpool all have that. This gets around the annoyance of stagger gauges really easily. If you have a tough time staying alive, use Wolverine, Deadpool, and Hulk because they have either regeneration or are super durable. Also Deadpool is a must because he is wonderful for any boss fight. He regenerates health and he can teleport out of basically every attack.
It's good to see Tony Bing doing videos on a game i'm playing again. I've been missing your tips & pointers since Marvel Heroes Omega shut down. Can't wait to dive into this title. Just picked it up today
This has been the most helpful video I've found. I just arrived at X-men mansion and it has been tough. I've been trying to level all the characters (all above 10 now) and I started going back to earlier missions to play with lower level characters to build them up as they can't compete on the higher levels. I'm a completionist in that way. The older games were not this hard to just push through. This one requires more thought process. So I am going to take your advice and build up three and have a weeker one tag along. Thanks for the tips. Just subscribed!
Iron man, spider man and spider gween was a random choice of characters to choose, but i never lost a boss battle with them. Had 2 ekstreemly close calls tough.
Good tips all around! Still waiting for my copy to ship (hurry up, Amazon!), but had already planned my main team to be Hulk, Thor, probably Storm and then whoever for slot 4.
Great video man! Sounds silly but I was really not understanding the stats in the game at all (think I rushed through the in game explanation) until I watched this! So much more fun playing now, thanks for uploading, liked and subbed!
This game should be great, but they literally force you to pick a team and stay with them for the entire time. If you try switching your only making things impossible for yourself. They have the solo challenge missions which seem to encourage switching characters, but than they make unfeasible to do so at the same time. Really, beating the game consists of : 1. Pick a team of four- give this team all xp cubes you find. Destroy all C and D isos because they are useless and take up space. Equip xp isos asap when you find them. You know, way after the fact of when you'd actually need them. 2. NEVER change your team for the first THREE campaign play throughs, basically until you beat ultimate difficulty. You can switch single characters if they are the same level as your team, but if you take time trying to catch a character up, your wasting experience that could have been used on a stronger character. (Basically, personal character preference goes out the window here because they force you to use what you have and that's why this game suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuüuucks) 3. Take your four now super powered heroes and beat all infinity missions (you may have had to do some to level up your team, but you should be able to crush the rest now with no trouble at all, as opposed to struggling through them when you unlock them) 4. By this time you're team should all be way over level 100, even closer to 200. Now you can take all that gold, go to the Shield depot and just buy xp cubes and level up the entire roster This is the complete opposite of how I wanted to play this game, but that's the way its designed for some stupid reason. Hey, let's give the option of 70 characters to choose from, but let's also MAKE IT A TOTAL PAIN IN THE @$$ TO CHANGE CHARACTERS!
I'm confused about the graph. Sometimes it's larger in an area than a character that has a lower number for that stat (I think it was around the same level).
What about light and heavy attack? Some are range, some looks like physical and others magical. And without counting elemental buff, do they benefits for str.? Or maybe not benefitting from it at all, and just the nodes granting X% dmg to either or both light and heavy attack.
Try and knock the Sentinels off the edge of the building in one or two hits. Press the heavy attack button to throw your shield at them or use the charge ability to knock off several at a time when they're bunched up.
I've been playing with my two boys and we are having a terrible time with the Doc Oc infinity trial. We know we are supposed to use only synergy attacks, but it's not working for us at all. What are we doing wrong? Thanks for the tips and vids, btw!
Can you get DP without buying the season pass, please? I'm going to get it once I get further in the game, there's just no point getting it till you have some higher level characters to unlock the DLC ones. I think I heard you can or could get DP in game though as well?
