I’ve been collecting Disney items for just over a decade now. That was a rare ticket you have in that there aren’t many left. I’ve seen it go as high as $65,000 at auction but you could’ve easily got $30,000 without much effort in a private sale if you were just looking to offload it like that

Fun fact, when I wa 6 we went to day 1 opening of Universal Studios Orlando. It was notoriously BAD because of ALL the issues the rides had. We got some fancy looking raincheck tickets. When we came back we put them away in a book and forgot about them. 30 something years later we came back. Not only did they accept them but a high up exec came down to get them personally and has it as a collectors item now. We got SUPER VIP treatment that day, meals, snacks all sorts of freebies. Parks like this will always honor these because they know they will earn your money inside the parks.

My grandparents purchased a 3 day pass the first year Epcot was opened, but never used it. It also had no expiration date. I received it as a gift for my honeymoon some 15 years later and they honored it.
its worth anywhere from $20-$40 pretty sure they don't care. its actually cheaper to buy those passes on ebay and use them to get into the park than it is buying a pass today. disney validates all passes without expiration dates.
So as a former WDW Vacation Planner (aka the people who sell the tickets at the park entrances) I can confirm that Disney will honor any ticket from before 2009 that either doesn’t have an expiration or was specifically purchased with no expiration, including the paper tickets and the OG MK ticket books. I didn’t see too many in my 5 years at the booths, but I saw more than I expected. Maybe one a year? But I would recommend taking them to a collector or getting an appraisal before taking them to the park.

I was a member of the Walt Disney World Grand Ceremonial Opening band in 1971. (The largest marching band in history - 2500 people) We got a big handful of tickets like the video poster had.
Not surprised they accepted it. They'll do anything to please their customers. I was there in March and had the BEST customer service training just by looking at how good they treat their guests.
Imagine not selling the ticket to an actual collector and getting enough money that would have covered the cost of more than 100 Disney trips down the road.

Fun fact Disney didn't stop selling tickets with no expiration date on them until 2015. But also, in 2004 or 2005, tickets expired 14 days after they were used unless the no expiration option was added to them. Also, Disney honors any old tickets that don't have an expiration date on them.

We had hopper passes for 5 people from 1998. Last year they honored the unused days. That's about the only good thing I could say about Disney now. Their prices are just crazy.

Fun fact Disney didn't stop selling tickets with no expiration date on them until 2015. But also, in 2004 or 2005, tickets expired 14 days after they were used unless the no expiration option was added to them.
Also, Disney honors any old tickets that don't have an expiration date on them.

They do not return the old tickets. They are stamped void and then turned in to verify that the CM didn't just give away free tickets.
