    Palanquin comes from the Tamil word pallaakku (or Sanskrit palyanka meaning bed). Currently these are used in temples to bear the idols which would be taken around streets

    Палантин- means a tippet in Russian, Palanquin, palankeen- are translated as stretches in Russian,

    Yeah i do think palanquin is kinda useless, however you make it up by teaching us 3 different meanings of the word litter, thanks mark, i didn't know the word litter. keep it up

    Actually, I recently saw the word palanquin in the “Fairy Tail” book by Stephen King. I don’t think this word is useless. Everyone eventually will see, hear or read it in either a fiction book or a textbook.
