    Love it pal and thanks for shouting the podcast out. I’m also really glad that you managed to take some time away from the camera to ‘watch’ 👌🏻

    Another great video pal! Thanks for giving the podcast a mention and glad you took some time for yourself to observe! It’s something we talk about a lot on the show and Adam is exactly right. We tend to concentrate so much on taking that image we forget just how special some moments are and we should pause and take it all in for ourselves ☺️

      Thanks very much Mike, my pleasure to mention the podcast it's a fantastic listen.
      Adam's advice is definitely something that I am going to take on board more often and ensure that I have some quality mindful moments in nature.

    The stags are just stunning and great to see them in action. It's somewhere we haven't been, so it will be added to the list. Beautiful photographs again Dan. Im behind on vids as we've been in Scotland for 4 weeks. Hope you enjoyed Scotland. I'm sure you did.

    What Adam said is so true, we do sometimes need to take a step back just to take it all in. - Visited Tatton park on the 26th of October, was great to see the deer in the flesh, however what did ruin it a bit was the wardens having to go round because people kept getting far to close... I understand if they come upon you and you just happen to be there, but some people where literally just going right up to them almost. Great shots as always!

      Thanks very much I really appreciate it. Some of the behaviour I witnessed this time (predominantly not by photographers but people with mobile phones) was quite frankly disgraceful. I later learned that a woman had been severely injured by a stag the previous week which is why the gate was locked in the morning.

    Great to see Dan. I live minutes from Bushy Park, and the red deer rut is one of the highlights of the year. Been an odd one this year - very mild weather and far too many people with phones disturbing the deer. I am surprised no-one has got hurt or worse. Has meant limited opportunity to capture the rut in good light. Anyway there is always next year!

    • @danwillis_photography
      @danwillis_photography  Месяц назад

      Thanks very much Stephen, I have visited Richmond but not Bushy park in the past. It's definitely a destination that I will visit in the future so thanks for suggesting it. I totally agree with you about being an odd year and not to mention some even more odd behaviour from people getting too close!

    A very enjoyable video again Dan!
    I usually get to Richmond Park or Bushy Park in London each year for Red and Fallow Deer but I sometimes see the Red Deer on the Suffolk coast near RSPB Minsmere. But, you definitely can’t beat watching and photographing Red Deer in the Scottish Highlands!
    I hope you all enjoy your next trip to Scotland. Looking forward to another series of videos!
    By the way, excellent advice from Adam although I have heard it before …. sometimes just enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and put the camera down.

    Great video! The bellowing is amazing to hear, I have only done mull charters once but I did put the camera down on the last fly by so I could see it as it’s definitely a different feeling seeing it with your eyes not a viewfinder, amazing experience. Great video as always! 😊

      @ think it might have been but I’ll just wait to see the video. Hope you don’t mind me asking but, that monopod you had on the video, it looked like quite a tall one. You’re a pretty tall bloke but I’m 6ft 6 so an extra tall one would come in handy. Where did you get it from? Loved the WildX podcast by the way. Thanks Ian 👍

    Morning Dan, bought a pair of the Lytmi ear buds last night and they arrived this morning, I have AirPods which I find uncomfortable after a while and an expensive pair of Bose headphones which are awesome but do make your ears a bit sweaty after a while but these are fantastic, sound quality and volume spot on and as you said after a while you forget you’re wearing them so thanks a lot for bringing them to our attention and the discount 👍 Terry

    Great video yet again Dan, we have been a couple of times in October this year, the reason the gates have been closed is due to the fact a lady got injured by one of the deer a few weeks ago, in fact at one point they weren't opening the gates until 9am, which is a first and for safety reasons. Anyway, we had some great times in the park, actually the best visit we had this year was one evening, the Red Deer were very active.
