First, thank you, Herman, for this wonderful work you continue to do (we met some years ago at prison ministry conference in Asheville, North Carolina). Thanks to Dr. Mary Ford for sharing her journey to Orthodoxy. Her story gives witness to something which became clear to me in my own journey to Orthodoxy: there are only two types of people in the world, those who are searching for the truth, and those who are not. Even though someone searching for the truth may not know what that is, nevertheless, when they encounter it, their response is "Yes, that's it!" In my many years in prison ministry, I encountered this response from people in prison more times than I can remember. Again, thank you, Dr. Mary for sharing your story with us.

Her story illustrates how holy and enlightened people are necessary in the community to spread the knowledge of God and encourage likeminded people in their circles to become leaders and teachers of Truth in Christ. This is how cultural revolutions emerge to renew societies mired in spiritual ignorance.
