Is it better to take L-carnosine or beta-alanine? Because some say that when taking caronisin, it is not absorbed in the intestines well, instead taking beta-alanine, then it will be combined with histidine then produce caronisen ..... What do you think?
I'm going to have to edit that sentence out because it is misleading. Carnosine is a dipeptide made up of two amino acids beta-alanine and histidine. If you supplement with beta-alanine once ingested it starts looking for histidine to bind to to create carnosine.
Hi Dr. I've seen two researchs in medpub stating that Beta Alanine can cause Taurine depletion in the mitochondria which causes cell oxidative Stress. Can you please share your opinion? I started supplementing with Beta alanine ( Carnosine brand) and made me instantly sleepy and lethargic. It also raised my blood pressure from 125/77 to 160/ 89 with digestive pain even though I had it on full stomach. Thx
Andrew, I have no idea. It's not an accurate way to measure powder anyway. I suggest you make the minimal investment and get one of these: amzn.to/3kEITDm
@@NootropicsExpert Hah, you just reminded me that I already have one of those. But what about the sublingual issue? Would it be more bioavailable? I've read L-Carnisine supplements don't survive the digestive process well.

Not necessarily. High beta-alanine can be caused by candida overgrowth, elevated levels of staphylococcus or streptococcus bacteria, antibiotic use, tumors, and more. There ae similar causes of high histamine levels as well which you can easily google.

Thank you Doctor, you mentioned that it can help against Cancer, but you also said that it stops cells from autophagy, and promotes growth of new cells. Isn't this bad, wouldn't it promote new cancer cells to grow and expand. I am confused here.
Laurali, I suggest you go back and listen more carefully. L-Carnosine helps keep AGEs down which can cause cancer if left unchecked. L-Carnosine helps revive dysfunctional cells. But it certainly does not contribute to cancer cell health. This is an anti-aging supplement.

Gadoor, some studies say beta-alanine is better for increasing L-Carnosine levels. And they look pretty convincing. I would go with beta-alanine.
the only L carnosine I can find is made in a lab and very expensive What natural form were you referring to in your talk?

Possibly, There is very little research on L-Carnosine and prostate issues but what does exist looks promising.

Thanks for you video , lots of good knowledge. One question. What's the different between L-Carnosine and Beta-Alanine? Thanks
β-alanine is the rate-limiting precursor of carnosine. In other words, carnosine levels are limited by the amount of available β-alanine.
