Great build by Tom, just surprised the turbo inlet is left open, going over dusty roads no doubt will cause dust and crap being sucked into the engine, surprised he hasn’t covered or put netting to it at the very least ….to be honest £50k spend is too much for this platform, I think it’s time to put that to a g82 and with a simple downpipe and tune you get outperform this build

Would it have made more sense to build a car with XDrive? Honest question. Especially because of the UK weather. Can XDrive handle that much power? Must be difficult to hook up even on a good day. Would be interesting to see some quarter mile times. Must be high 9s on a good run.

Sometimes too much rigidity can slow a car down whereas being a little bit more compliant can improve traction. It depends on the conditions of the track.

It had a Remus back box, but due to it being a single turbo, this changes the sound quite a lot

Cool tune and map etc , just always wondered how the F do they get insurance for these cars , 50k in mods etc , yeah maybe on a traders policy here but for the ‘normal’ dude ??? . Wing it seems the most logical scenario 😵💫😳
Adrian flux for example offer policies that you don’t get charged for each modification so you can modify highly without the price going the same way as the bhp

This car is pretty dumb, the F80 m3 can barely put a stage 1 at 500hp down, I suppose the only improvement would be at speeds over 90mph. Still fun though, I guess.
Too much for the platform I think. I'll have my stage 2 800bhp F90 M5 anyday over this, can't even drive straight with it in Mxdrive on full throttle. :D
Cold tyres, damp roads, I’ve owned both would take an F80 M3 or M4 over an M5 every day of the week, M5 is just to heavy and refined. M3 is raw and fun.
