Since the stone is ungimmicked, it reminds me more of the original routine The Lucky Coin by Roberto Giobbi. This can be found on his DVD Card College vol. 2 I really enjoy performing this routine myself and love The Lucky Coin in the original because it is so entertaining and has a lot of charm, which is of course also due to the presentation and the charm of R. Giobbi himself. I see absolutely no need for The Lucky Stone rip off - especially since you can achieve the same effect with a similar stone from the garden (my personal opinion). And everyone probably has a nice bag and a storage box at home. Also, the original routine is far better (which has absolutely nothing to do with Ryan's performance). Unfortunately I couldn't find the original on RUclips, otherwise I would have included the link.

The 1st trick was in Chris’s book and the principle Craig didn’t know was from a Steinmeyer trick from the invocation magazine by Maskelyn Ye Mage/Tony Andruzzi years ago.
But the credit for the principle should have been credited to Colm Mchahy (mathematician and magician).

That's interesting I thought it was a Jim Steinmeyer idea. The trick looks very like the lie detector trick in 'Solomons Mind' by David Solomon. The spelling is done with just 7 cards and no force is needed.I love it.

Yes but as Chris said it’s based on a Jim Steinmeyer trick way before Solomons. But the actual principle belongs to Colm.

I think I like Nothing But the Truth by Cameron Francis better

LOL.. I think Ryland is going to get older and be a card magician… it seems even though Craig says.. “you don’t like cards tricks do you?” It seems he is liking some more and more.. and can see himself doing some.

The lucky stone is a complete rip off of a trick from the 80’s , I forgot who by (the name will come to me) . This 80’s trick was also the Eric Tait trick was based on ?
So say it as it is. A complete rip off.
This is again my argument that no one knows the history of tricks anymore. I might bring out a trick next week the same and just have it printed on a poker chip and give it a new name and call it a different trick.

You`re absolutely right. This is a rip off. The original `The Lucky Coin` is by gentleman Roberto Giobbi an by far better! It`s to find on the DVD Card College vol. 2.

      And in his books

    I really don't get 'Lie'
The specially printed cards are completely uncessary, and any reaction will be down to the wrong card chaning to the right one, which you could do with a normal pack of cards. The lie detector bit seems to almost be irrelevant.
I like Chris but i really don't get the praise this one is getting.
Nothing But The Truth by Cameron Francis is the best small pack lie detector hands down. At least during the lie/truth bit the cards are shown to actually act as a lie detector, with the appearance of the selection being the kicker.

Lucky Stone seems pointless as well. Just a version of Lucky Coin from Card College, but way more inconvienient to carry around.
That being said, i'm sure there is more to the presentation than Ryland was able to get into his video, so you could argue you're buying the script etc...but i can't imagine they'll sell many of those...
