It's all so sad, of course the worst part is the construction manager who lost his life, the family that lost a loved one, those who lost a colleague and the workers who wore injured.
And also the sadness of watching years of planning, preparation and construction be destroyed before the eyes of all those who worked so hard on the project.
I hope that when Liseberg rebuilds Oceana again that they also dedicate a memorial to Patrik Gillholm's memory.

From what i can see the waterpark seems much less damaged than we all initially thought. Judging by what we can see of the Waterslide tower they will probably only have to replace small parts of it and give it a fresh new paintwork. The part of the dome-like structure that is right next to the tower will probably have to be completely rebuilt along with the frontside and waterslides. The Kiddy play area seems largely intact along with the rockwork and the mosaiac flooring. they will have to clean the pools of course and clear up all the debris but otherwise the park seems largely intact. I really hope we will se the park open by like 2027 or 2028. Also Rest In Peace Patrik Gillholm who died in the fire. All condolences to his family and loved ones.

I doubt inspectors will approve the damaged structures to remain standing, due to the heat damage to the steel from the intense fire, which melted the fiberglass slides at around 1100 degrees celsius, anything above 550 degrees C weakens steel significantly, HAZ of welding seams is limited to a focused area, but when a large fire bathes the entire structure too many variables arise. Demolition will most likely be the safest route for the park. They seem set on rebuilding. I imagine they will have the builders move combustable gases or combustible evaporates such as acetyline, oxygen, propane, thinners, etc, in their tubes or tubes outside, rather than have them remain inside the main structure... next time...
