    Totally agree!!! This is one of the most favorite Lovebite’s songs. Quite mixed emotions through this song. Doesn’t bring to the solo immediately but after slow down with the nice piano and then bang!!! Cannot imagine how genius they are to compose this song. 🎉🎉🎉

    This is My Song. I was already a fan for several years, when I was hospitalised last year with acute respiratory failure. I had to be revived. The words of the song gave me the strength to live again - especially "Rise again - though you're broken and scarred..." And what about Miyako's transition from 🎸 to piano and back to 🎸? Miraculous!!! 🤘 🔥

      I know what you mean, I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer, (stage 4), in 2022, and had radical radiotherapy for it, couldn't have chemotherapy because I'd got colitis through to many pain killers, anyway, I don't think I'd have had the will or inspiration to fight if not for lovebites metal and the hopeful message of their music. I still struggle a lot because my saliva glands were burnt away from the treatment, but I'm still here and still loving these goddesses. 🤘🎤🎸🎹🥁🐺🇬🇧

    LoveBites is an incredible band, and that song was fantastic. While most people rave about their exceptional musicianship, I’ve been listening to metal for over fifty years and have come to expect top-tier talent from every member of a band. What truly stands out to me about LoveBites is their songwriting. I haven’t come across a single mediocre or subpar track from them-every song is a hit, and that's what impresses me the most.

    As a longtime diehard, loyal Led Zeppelin fan, I never thought any band would ever dethrone them out of my top spot until I discovered Lovebites during the pandemic. It was love at first sight/listen. Nobody embodies the term 'rock god/s' more than them.

    Awesome breakdown! I have loved this song for a long time now, it's always fun to see someone else's experience with it. The Piano in the arrangement really draws the listener in and when the guitars return to the song it heightens the "goosebump" feeling for me. The Lyrics are the home run, positive, motivating & uplifting. It's like the perfect roast of coffee in the morning when you really want coffee.

    I love the lyrics to "Rising" and heard it a thousand times before experiencing it live in a small club in Germany this year. The piano part was tracked, but once they started the solo section I was unable to hold back the tears of joy. This was only surpassed in Tokyo when Miyako performed the piano section live.

    Yes, these women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional versatile musicians. Their live performances are just amazing. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary in just seven years. My next suggestions are “Set the world on fire”, “Judgement day”, “MDO”, “Shadowmaker”, “The hammer of wrath” (all live)

  • @ericsaari2901
    @ericsaari2901 Месяц назад +19

    One of my absolute favorites from them. It's beautiful. Asami's lyrics and singing, the piano bridge, the solos. There's also a "rising" feeling to it, for lack of a better way to put it. Sort of like how you said it felt slower or more chill, while being fast at the same time. It has an emotional movement through it. They're also very aware in their performances when this song plays better with them reserved, and this other one with them more forward. I second someone else's suggestion that the two you need to hear are Frozen Serenade and SSS (Soldier Stands Solitarily). I'd bookend those two and put them in a museum. Absolutely love Rising though.

    Great reaction. These band were phenomenal, the best in the world. Play various metal genres like speed/power, thrash, heavy, prog, neo-classic, hard/pop rock, power ballad etc. They are better play live with harmonized guitar shred. Try another live song, Soldier Stand Solitarily, Judgement Day, Nameless Warrior and many more. 👍🤘

  • @MarcelCox1
    @MarcelCox1 Месяц назад +11

    I like the slowing down in the middle of the song. Lovebites uses this in a number of their songs. There is for instance one of their most thrash metal songs "Break the Wall" which contains a bluesy guitar solo. "Nameless Warrior" has a slow down which manages to actually put extra emphasis on the slowed down part. "Frozen Serenade" is already a ballad, but contains an stripped down instrumental part in the middle.

    On your own time, please check out three additional versions of Rising: the acoustic piano duo of Miyako with Asami, the music video, as well as a previous live version that best shows Miyako's transitions from piano back to guitar. For their orchestral masterpiece, check out their Dystopia Symphony, Above The Black Sea and Someone's Dream

    A large part of my draw to these ladies are the lyrics themselves. Although not on every song, lyrically, Asami (vocalist) writes some of the most amazing stories/ideas in her lyrics that I would definitely suggest a once through reading through them as with her accent, it can be a bit tough catching them the first listen. This song is more or less about picking yourself up when you feel down and take control of what some may call "fate" and change your life to become a better you.
    Some noteworthy songs I would suggest that I don't think you've done with your band/solo as a reaction:
    A Frozen Serenade (Will 100% bring you to tears if this one got you on the edge): ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html
    Epilogue (One of my favorite ballad songs ever written): ruclips.net/video/X28ZuN1eG84/видео.html
    Inspire (Asami shows off what I like to call "vocal gymnastics" as well as her R&B days before the band): ruclips.net/video/6ejZ6-FgTiE/видео.html
    Dancing With The Devil (Very sassy vocals by Asami): ruclips.net/video/mJGgLFTPME8/видео.html
    Edge Of The World (An masterful epic song, no other words can describe): ruclips.net/video/jQKf8Dy_chA/видео.html
    Soldier Stands Solitarily (Just a guitarists wet dream of a song lol): ruclips.net/video/30yWisiRBuM/видео.html
    Of course there are MANY other songs that can be added as basically everything from them is amazing.

    What other band brings tears to so many eyes and goosebumps to so many arms? This happens very often in reactions and at concerts. VERY often. Idk what musical element is causing this, but I suspect it's the melodies inherent in their songs---universally aligned melodies who some call the music of the spheres. Eventually your soul can't take it anymore, and it has to find release....and I doubt if Lovebites is even aware of it. They aren't predetermining to create celestial music of this almost unnatural beauty.
