It couldn't have been ladel or even ladle in row 5 since you had the red E indicating that there's no E in row 5. Nevertheless, this was a great solve with difficult words to guess
Ladel can't be an option because of the red e pointing up.

I don't do this one but the vowels made it much easier for me to see. I got LAIRD and something else from the start that you had a problem with. So all the vowels definitely helped me on this particular puzzle. Don't know how it would be on a regular basis. As always, it depends on the words you have and since you never know....
