This is such a cool and trippy game. Max0r's editing really makes the experience something else. I highly enjoyed learning about Ultrakill and seeing stars in my eyes after so many coins.

Fun fact: the in-game lore has an explanation why everything looks retro and low-polygon. The machines, including our protagonist V1, intentionally process everything like that, rendering only the basics of their surroundings in order process data faster. The only exception is the sentry bots that see normally in order to use their sniper rifles effectively.

From what I have seen on forums, the average runs people take against Minos Prime is around ~50, Max0r taking 18 tries is actually impressive.
He can suck on ice in a Fromsoft game but he is really good at videogames. If you look closely at the footage of the Monsoon fight in his MGR Part 1 video, you can see he parries the giant scrap ball.
During the "intro" sequence, Max briefly flashes a snippet of the Pinos fight with the text "MINOS PRIME" on the top and "NINETY RESTARTS" on the bottom. Chances are he took 90 attempts on his *actual* playthrough, then took 18 attempts after either restarting the stage or playing it again after beating it to gather footage.

Fun fact: When Max0r said you could "fish peacefully" in Ultrakill, he was _technically_ correct. Though in this video he was referring to the Leviathan boss fight, in a later update came the secret level for the 5th layer, which is, you guessed it, a fishing minigame in a peaceful and calming environment

Maxor's editing always manages to Ultrakill my neurons
Just so everyone gets how great of a developer Hakita is - the third alternative fire for the revolver is ricocheting shot which you charge by spinning the revolver. And it acts generates lift. If you somehow get 3 "extra gun" power-ups and spin all 4, you can fly. It does not have any practical applications, but it's in there because it's fun.

Maxors videos in general are great but I'd say his metal gear reveangeance, genshin impact and elden ring videos are among the best. The RE4 one was fantastic as well.
After you are done with ultra kill you might try watching the elden ring max0r stuff.

You really should play Bioshock at some point, just make sure you use the mercy approach with certain NPCs. You will know them after the option being introduced since it never changes. If you don't you will regret it in the end.

From what I’ve heard 18 attempts was how many it took him to beat it on that run. He apparently died to it around 90 times during his first playthrough of ultra kill which he slips in a reference to when he mentions it taking him 18 attempts.

i was looking away from my laptop when it hit 18:30 and it made my brain reset
21:20 I've tried to get in to it, almost solely because of Max0r, but I simply do not have the mechanical talent or the excessive free time to learn the skill required to meet the skill floor of this game. I could probably make it through the levels with Projectile Boost, but what's the point if I can never hear Tenebre in-game?
Playing on lower difficulties does help a lot with missing mechanical talent, free time no longer is excessive because levels and learning take less time when everything is a lot less stressful.
