Generally people can react as soon as they see the weapon rising, but this requires you to delay your parry, allowing the parry window to extend just long enough to defend against the following mantra. I do actually parry trade a little even as a mage, but my hard hitters are mainly long range punishes which can be annoying to deal with. It's like fighting a guy with really long arms. Of course, if you adapt and approach carefully, then I do end up having to parry trade a little, although there are tricks and gimmicks I can use with certain mantras that allow me to effectively dodge out of any parry trade and force them to approach me again (aside from straight up running, of course). This is not cowardly, I am simply playing to my advantages. If you find it so difficult to counter, perhaps you should consider making your build more flexible, or adapting.

nah dont uppercut aerial m1s, if your opponent is smart enough bc the game allows you to feint aerial m1s for a mantra and if the mantra is instant like any gale mantra or attunementless, then u get no s for uppercutting and u get punished for trying to counter an aerial. Imo its kind of stupid how u can feint aerial attacks but not uppercuts because while u eat that mantra, u cant do anything not even parry bc u are stuck doing the uppercut animation so lets punish you for trying to counter my aerial bc i can feint my aerial but you cannot feint ur uppercut so its an unfair exchange, imo either make uppercuts feintable or make aerials not feintable.
Bros casually breaking the fastest possible human reaction time of .1 seconds and trying to play it off as normal. 1:26 was an early click bro i refuse to believe the fastest reactor on earth is a deep player.
Now i might be crazy but the only "heavy" i use is the skyreap blade and on my mother for wtv reason i can get 2-3 hits off maybe due to its swing speed? Idk all ik is that atleast for me the sky reap blade breaks the logic of the you can get 1 hit off as heavy
4:36 it should be patchble if they'll make mantras 360 blockble if you feint right into it. That's the first though I had of how to fix it, but I won't say that it's a good idea nonetheless
all these can be avoided by parrying guys. dont complicate pvp just train reaction time and parry
