My strat for this was basically to have Kevin use Earth Wall while Tita shot him with her mech suit lol, as long as you can avoid his ridiculous S-Craft then this fight honestly isn't too bad

What a silly question, of course it will be Gilbert. For real now. I don't know, I've only played the sky trillogy and seen Cold Steel I. Still can't help but feel like the Grandmaster won't be the "real final antagonist". Or it might be Antoine, we never know, can't trust cats these days.
According to fans in the wikia, they speculate it could be Aidios, and that she might be the Grandmaster, but this is only a theory with no ground or proof
I'm hoping we're done with Osborne by the end of Cold Steel 4. He's a great villain, but I like Ouroboros more. I'm also in the "Aidios is no goddess, just some powerful ancient woman who wants her shit back" camp. XD
The most we do know about the Grandmaster is that she is a woman. I have a feeling we'll have to wait until, like, the Arteria arc for everything to come together since that is the home of the Septian Church which, to me, sounds like a really good place to have the final encounter.
When you're right at the end of the fight, Anima just blasted you with a world-destroying laser, Kevin's cut off from the rest of the party because of it, you have no idea if another one's coming, and maybe you should start putting your defenses back up, but instead you just decide "Fuck it, let's ball" and unleash your S-Crafts
Call me weak but tbh defeating Anima took me using Renne and Richard on Earth Wall duty, Kevin on Support Duty, and Ries on offensive arts duty, a couple of EP charges were consumed... And i was only in Normal Mode
I think Earth Wall is pretty much mandatory on higher difficulty where enemies literally one shot you. It does pose a bit of a balance problem when it's the only way to stay alive

I made a huge mistake after entering the final castle by thinking that there would be a time right before the final boss where you could choose your party again. Instead, all my best characters were spread out in different teams and I fought the final boss with two well leveled characters (Kevin, Ries) and two severely underleveled characters with bad equipment (Olivier, Vander). Not only that, but I also didn't equip the gear from the final dungeon. Man, that boss took ages to beat. Zeram Capsule + Grail Sphere spam was literally the only reason I won.
same, but I had josette with me, and I was forced to restart the dungeon because even Kevin and Ries didn't had good enough arts for the boss, but after I did the dungeon again, I litteraly destroyed the boss in approximatively 10 turn after the first phase with Renne and Joshua while with my other team used 10 turn to inflict 1000 hp to the boss x)
My final boss team, kevin-ries-richard-joshua. Full speed build, joshua with supreme dual strike and richard with true luminous divider melted boss's HP.

i didn't really like this final boss, but I love the writing and especially the characterization in this game, and this piece represents Kevin's final triumph over his self-inflicted hell so damn well.

(And lucky me, I made they fight the Copy Pater-Mater without knowing). The Pillars didn't fucked me up so much, what really mess was the battle map, it got destroyed with some heroes stuck being unable to melee damage or move to recovery others.

It's not that hard because Richard exists and also Kevin is such a massive ATS monster on 3rd I think Weissman and Reverie is a lot harder. This fight is a lot more fun compared to previous games final boss though.
God the newer art is fucking hideous. Trying to enjoy this great music while we got fake Kevin over here who looks like a bee sting caused his face to swell up while imposter anime Josh and Estelle stare at me from deep within the Uncanny Valley.
