Awwww. Thanks Robert - I appreciate that. Really great of you to take the time to comment and let me know too. Who's your favourite Classified fig so far?
Tripwire looks great once he is all geared up and I really like his updated design we got from him when you compare him to his original figure.... My only question is what did you said when you first open the bag with all his accessories? I gotta know 😂😂😂😂
I’m very much looking forward to this release, thanks for the video! Too bad they didn’t do the mines the same way the original figure had them. They stacked well and all three stored in the backpack very nicely.
Yeah - the pegged mines are confusing, especially as it appears only one can fit on the back pack. Nevertheless, he's been a fun figure - please swing back by when you receive yours and let me know how you get on once you have him in hand :)
@@MoDXtraGC I’ll try to remember to come back here and let you know my thoughts when I get mine. Tripwire was one of my (many) favorite figures back in the original run and from what I see in photos and your video, this Classified version will be an excellent update! It is puzzling though why they did the mines this way. One of a few odd decisions that detract from an overall stellar line.
The Shiny Shirt syndrome I once had a friend who works in injection molded plastics explain to me. It's not that it's a different plastic. It has to do with the temperature and the cooling cycle. I want to say higher temperature injection and/or a more rapid cooling cycle causes shinier plastic, but I may be getting that wrong. But the cause of it is almost certainly related to the geometry of the upper chest molds and that because of it the plastic needs to be shot at a higher temperature and pressure with a different resulting cooling cycle from other parts in the toolsets.
Well there you go. Thanks man - every day is a learning day. Appreciate you sharing the knowledge. That's quite interesting, because my thing was always the way it stands out against the colour & texture of the sleeves etc
I must give Hasbro proper props with regards to the GI Joe Classified Line. WHen they went to the "Plastic Free" windowless packaging most of their lines went to absolute shit. Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black went to just black bare boxes with a bare stand alone digital render of the figure on the front. At least this line has opted to give us some rather decent and at times fun box art. Like I will be sad to see some of the art go when they go back to windowed packaging. I almost hope they publish a book with some of the art that lays out the stories behind some of it. Like the Shipwreck, Torpedo and Eel art.
I'll confess - I prefer the Classified packaging the way it is now. I think its much more interesting at the moment. I buy almost exclusively online, and I like the experience of the artwork etc when I open the delivery box. It would be great to see a collection of the full artwork somewhere. I went looking for some a little while ago and didn't have a great deal of luck. If memory serves: one or two of the artists had some stuff on their own websites.
Tripwire is most likely the coolest deluxe figure I've seen straight out of the Classified series! Your review on the figure and huge amount of accessories he comes with made him my most anticipated Joe figure alongside Firefly (Vintage) as my most anticipated Cobra figure this year. Just curious how you were able to get a copy?
Hi Deadspace - thanks for watching. I'm glad my review was helpful to you. :) As to the question of how I got a copy - Tripwire has shipped over here in the UK. This particular figure was from Hasbro Pulse. ALTHOUGH - there are also times where I use independent retailers here in the UK who import from Hong Kong. Long story short - Hasbro has made Classified a Pulse Exclusive line in the UK, so the independent retailers have been importing. It's been a bit of a blessing in disguise really. I made a vid about the situation when it first happened. You can find that here: ruclips.net/video/YHMnYHQzadU/видео.html :)
I'll take a rat with my Tripwire! I'm sure they could have tied in at least a minimal amount of articulation, but they don't seem too terribly interested in doing that with the smaller animals (looking at you, Polly). I may have to track down a little pet carrier accessory for him, though.
If memory serves me correctly Trip Wire is a Hasbro Pulse exclusive. Depends on where you are in the world - I know that here in the UK some of the independent retailers are carrying him from import acquisitions...
Yep - the peg choice with the second mine is an utter mystery, isn't it? That's a good idea too - get MACLEAOD to use the second one somehow. Well... maybe next time 😢
Thanks for the review. I agree on the head sculpt, but with two helmets to choose from, I'll probably have that covered up most of the time anyway. Apsara is pretty simple, but still hard to pass up. 🐀
Yep - me too. Rarely taken the helmet off since he arrived, and one instance was specifically to record this vid! And Apsara is great. Cute as buttons and a lovely bit of story-telling fun for the figure. I'm sold. :)
Yeah - I think you’re right. Those bigger eyes and the way his hair is sculpted definitely has a kind of animated vibe to it for sure. Thankfully I’ll never take the helmet off LOL
Man... at the moment I truly don't know which wave is which with who tbh. I've been having fun regardless Russell, but I can totally see why someone might feel that. Any specifics as to what's coming in sub-par for you? Would love to hear your perspective...
@MoDXtraGC well I think it's just the getting excited for tunnel rat he's obe I had as a kid ...Also the serpents And Grunt iidk what it is I may be on burnout they all just kinda seem the same gummy weapons and just really nothing like wow check em out I was looking at lowlight and was like mehh
Well it's like action force they all feel the same I wanted those females bad and got em like wtf...and yeah I had the rat as a kid him and the alley viper I looked as shipwreck today and didn't even get em ...we will never have it like we did as children ...socks getting old but whatever ....
@2:22 😂 love it! I can always count on you to cheer me up 🎉
At your service 🤘🤘
I am fairly new to your channel and am thrilled to have found it. Your excitement for the Classified line is infectious. Keep it up the great work
Awwww. Thanks Robert - I appreciate that. Really great of you to take the time to comment and let me know too.
Who's your favourite Classified fig so far?
@MoDXtraGC I can't get over how great Spirit is, but for new favorite, it would be Shipwreck...waiting for the HISS for a final verdict
Never cared about Trip in the original line or cartoon, but this one looks great. Love the options too.
That's cool man. Times change, innit. You think you might pick one up now?
Another thorough review, Chris! And was that v2 of Firefly? You cheeky bastard! 😂. I cannot wait for mine. Ok, time to watch Ahsoka. Talk soon
Thanks Colonel. It was indeed. I'll be finishing the edit and posting the review tomorrow ;)

LOL I'm pretty sure (I legit improv in the moment) I said "like a sherbert dib dab". 😉

Looks great! One of my first Joes as a kid! TY for the review!
Flaffel - you are quite welcome. Thanks for always being here and supporting friend :)

You wouldn't believe how many attempts I made to balance Apsara on his shoulder for the thumbnail LOL :)
Is this an exclusive or is it gonna be available everywhere?

Very cool figure
He's been loads of fun. You think you'll pick one up?
Yes I will keep an eye out
I want to swap a Jeremy Rener head onto that.
Yeah man - get one of those MCU Hawkeye Legends on it and you're re-enacting your own Hollywood movie!
Wish the claw on the robot was closed enouhh to grip the peg onnthe mine. That wouldve made sense. A mine with a peg is completely useless.
Yep - the peg choice with the second mine is an utter mystery, isn't it? That's a good idea too - get MACLEAOD to use the second one somehow. Well... maybe next time 😢
@MoDXtraGC lol yeah next time lol.

another character where the mask saves the day from an ugly mug. my kids think he looks dope so i’ll snag him on clearance if i can.
I've largely had the helmet on him since he arrived. He looks much better with it on. :)
The head sculpt is kind of cartoonish looking, classified (usually) have a more realistic look ….looks more like a super 7s joe head
Yeah - I think you’re right. Those bigger eyes and the way his hair is sculpted definitely has a kind of animated vibe to it for sure. Thankfully I’ll never take the helmet off LOL
What an odd pet choice Tripwire has but then again the GI Joe handbook does state one pet per Joe according to robot chickens episode GI Zoo.
They actually have bomb sniffing rats in real life, so it makes some kind of sense.
@@danstars1 I've never heard of that before

I didn't know that either. Every day's a learning day! :)
I dont like the headsculpt
Is it just me or is this wave kinda mid ??
