If I could add any feature to Minecraft, it would be a prompt replacing the prompt every time you die, that reads "Are you sure you want to be dead?" A decade ago glad to see what the lantern would've been like if it was in the game. The difference between the two makes them almost alien from one another. First watched this when I was 13 in 2013, now I'm 23 and always left me wonder if there would've been a chance that version of the lantern could've been chosen instead of the one we got.
I think Herobrine should be added. I know this is mostly a Sandbox game but its getting kinda boring without an antagonist. Don't get me wrong, Creepers are annoying as fuck, but, they could add more of an adventure aspect to the game by making it so you could interact with him...

I know I'm late, but I'm going back through old videos and seeing how things change throughout time. Unfortunately the community has also shifted into a bad light after all those years. Back then, the only thing that mattered was to build and survive. Today with the vast variation of game modes and interests, the community has split into small groups, meanwhile the majority of the fan base is kids under the age of 14, that unfortunately give the game such a bad face. I have lost interest in the game long time ago and only come back to it periodically due to being part of an annual charity event. I doubt that minecraft will go back to its glory days, although it will take a long long time for it to completely die.

Torches were going to burn out and have to be re-lit with a flint and steel, but the developers didn't add that in when they were originally planning to, so lanterns would have been useless, and in a sense, counterproductive because it just would've taken more time to add in and more resources to actually make. This is the only place I've ever heard anything about how lanterns lit up places when held, so I'm not so sure that was actually going to be the case. Lanterns would have been completely unnecessary, so that's probably why they weren't added.

I figured out how to make working chairs in *vanilla Minecraft* - No Commands! What you do is you place down a mine-cart rail, then a mine-cart. Next, destroy the rail below the mine-cart (Tip: you may want to secure the mine-cart after destroying the rail so it won't move). Then, place a piston two blocks above the mine-cart (One block of space in between). Place a something between the piston and the mine-cart, like a stair, and power the piston to extend downward. Destroy the Piston, and there you have it; a working chair. Pros: Functional, Fun to use. Cons: Bulky, Doesn't look nice.

Also herobrine was just a replacement model for models that hadn't loaded yet. They became glitches.

Ruby found it's way into Minecraft earth as a irl-exchange currency
Lanterns are added in 1.14 (Village and Pillage),but you can't hold them sadly.
Also Minecraft had just announced 1.17 "Caves and Cliffs update" as of this comment date (2020,October 11)

In Minecraft files, the Steve texture is called "steve.png", the fat model is now called "Steve" when selecting your skin you get to choose between "Alex" and "Steve".

+I am Nameless The reason why they cancled lanterns was because, well the same reason why we dont have grenades in tf2 Mojang was afraid players would abuse and spam them so they were cut from gameplay

Herobrine really existed .He was added in early beta and removed i beta 1.7.3. He was the rarest mob in minecraft and he was veeeeeeeery hard to find.He atacked you normly and hit really hard.He had the same halth as player

WolfGirl Crazy101 it wasn't mod herobrine was a mob that you could spawn with comend and it was 1/100 chanse he spawned in your world. He didn't really called herobrine he called monster
***** 1 know there wasn't mob called herobrine but there was mob called monster and wich looks like a human and rary sometimes he spawned without comends( you can spawn him with comends) and even rareylier he had white eyes because of texture bug that wasn't herobrine but thats how herobrine legend started

I figured out how to make working chairs in *vanilla Minecraft* - No Commands!
What you do is you place down a mine-cart rail, then a mine-cart. Next, destroy the rail below the mine-cart (Tip: you may want to secure the mine-cart after destroying the rail so it won't move). Then, place a piston two blocks above the mine-cart (One block of space in between). Place a something between the piston and the mine-cart, like a stair, and power the piston to extend downward. Destroy the Piston, and there you have it; a working chair.
Pros: Functional, Fun to use.
Cons: Bulky, Doesn't look nice.
