    Good information Todd. Polishangel are my all time favorite products to use. Most consumers cringe at the price. Yes, they are expensive, but gosh darn do they work good. I just enjoy the experience with using them. Even their interior products are fantastic. I absolutely love the Charisma and Bella Clean combo for leather and also Snowcake and Intimate combo for the hard plastics inside. My current combo for the paint is Viking Coat and Viking Spritz and that combo is incredible too. Of course Supersports for the rims which is an extremely fast "top up" on the wheels every other time I wash the vehicle. Finally RAIN 9H along with their Cristal prep polish for the glass. If I had to pick ONE product line to use on my sports car, it would without a doubt be Polishangel.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but the cheaper Master Sealant option is NOT designed SOLELY as a maintenance product for coatings. It's a sealer that can be used without respect to what's underneath (correct?) and (as per it's review) it has a 6-9 month durability. On the other hand, the review of the more expensive Cosmic Spritz stated "Cosmic Spritz was designed as a maintenance product for coated vehicles". That review also states "3-6 months durability". So in this case the cheaper option of Master Sealant has longer durability than the more expensive Cosmic Spritz and can be used on cars without a coating. I'm assuming when these products make reference to "coatings" they're referring to user applied coatings and not manufacturer clear coats. Please let me know if any of this is a misunderstanding on my part.

    Polish Angel makes some outstanding products. By far my favorite brand to use. Looks and durability are excellent especially with the Cosmic Spritz Colour and the extra pop it gives based on your personal cars color code. Todd-In your experience, what would you say the durability is using V2 as a base with Cosmic Spritz as a maintenance product vs Primer Spritz and Cosmic Spritz together?

    • @Esotericdetail

      Too many variables, really. But with all things equal, you can probably see ~25% more durability with the V2 combo.

    For Option 3 with the V2 you show the Primer Spritz with the Cosmic Spritz. But you did not mention if you would put Primer Spritz on top of the V2 prior to topping with Cosmic. For a non coated car would you use V2, followed by Primer Spritz then topped with Cosmic Spritz?

    • @Esotericdetail

      Primer Spritz is not to be used after you already have a coating / related on the surface. So you'd do Primer, V2, then Cosmic Spritz.

    Unfortunately I've had really poor results with using Master Sealant alone in terms of water behavior. If it gets a little dusty then it rains, it's like there is no protection on the paint. It comes back after a good wash, but expected more from a premium product, other than how good it looked when it was applied. Used two coats with cure time of 30 minutes and about 3h in between coats. Really disappointed at this stage. Thinking of trying to put a 3rd coat and let it sit longer?

    • @rodneytatum8856
      @rodneytatum8856 2 года назад +2

      One of the biggest misconceptions in detailing is equating waterbeading to protection. I like to stare at beads myself! But if you are only interested in waterbeading Master Sealant is not for you. I don't believe a 3rd layer will change that. But Master Sealant lasts much longer than products that bead much better. I am often thinking of other things out of a sealant as a barometer of protection; UV protection, how easily (difficult essentially) grime sticks to the paint, and water 'sheeting'. Even though I am a sucker for beads, water beads can actually cause more problems (waterspots) when a car is infrequently washed. It is not uncommon for people have Master Sealant last WELL OVER 6 months.

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  2 года назад +2

      That is going to be the case with pretty much every product out there. When the surface has dust / dirt on it, the water behavior will not be as nice. Once cleaned up, it comes back.

    Question for the author of this video and this channel.
    I have recently started using the best products available most of which you recommend yourself following in your techniques and tips and tricks on paint corrections and such.
    One problem I'm running into especially on dark cars is that it looks amazing after my 1 2 3 steps but when I take it out on the sun I see bunch of imperfections that I overlooked on the inside the car still looks great but I see also that there is tremendous room for improvement.
    And I know it's nearly impossible for you to tell me what I'm doing wrong without you watching me work but I figure I ask anyway what is the most common mistake beginners like myself do when I feel like I'm achieving great results but they're not the greatest thank you

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  2 года назад +1

      You're correct in that it's hard to say exactly, but you have a couple of obvious issues: 1) Something is missing from your polishing technique / process, and 2) you're not using the right tools / viewing angles when inspecting the paint inside. You should be able to see defects and fine haze inside with the right kind of light that you can't see outside in the sunshine. A good handheld light (like the Rupes LL150) used at the right viewing angles and distances should show you everything you need to know.

    Todd's a fine gentleman and seems more honest than most businesspeople. But Polishangel is not worth the money. It is positioned in the market for the uber-wealthy car owner who wants to feel like they are getting an exclusive product that is too rich for the masses. But, for the rest of us, there are many products for a fraction of the cost that will give similar results.

    • @Esotericdetail

      Polishangel is a premium brand for sure, and is extremely popular and in high demand. It might not be for you, but it is for many others...to each their own. Some people make similar comments about luxury brands like Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Bentley, Tumi, etc, yet those brands are extremely successful and popular. If it's not for you, then that's OK, however it doesn't make your take "right", and others "wrong" (or vice versa).
