I gave an FSD virgin their first ride today. Of course I quietly engaged without any explanation. By the second turn they asked if the car was doing the driving and I waited for a flood of questions or potential panicked gasps. Neither of those things happened. Instead, they settled back and watched the car drive us to our destination. My point, if not obvious, is the drive felt so natural, all the driving nuances we expect to feel, were there for the drive. I have experienced this rather benign reaction from other first timers and only once had someone freak out in an amazed way but soon settled into this is natural mode.
I seriously don’t think that the camera resolution is a problem or needs to be changed. If the FSD AI works like our human brains and can learn from watching videos, then the resolution of those videos we watch doesn’t impact our ability to learn from watching the video. We don’t learn more watching a 4k video versus an HD video on drywalling or framing a room in a house.
HW4 has wider view from the repeat cams. That’s a distinct advantage on chuck cook’s UPL.
It can see what’s coming before the car is sufficiently fwd to see via the pillar cam. 1.3meters sooner, the dist between the two side cameras.
It’s needs to read signs and be able to distinguish different objects and their intentions.
@@kobebryant5491 I agree and I think it can do that with the current video resolution. If you can read the speed limit or traffic signs when you see the supervised FSD videos on RUclips, then the camera resolution is fine. Tesla just needs to train the FSD software to recognize these signs and act accordingly. This will happen soon.
I agree🤓
Great conversation. I disagree with needing a front bumper cam though. Object persistence with Sentry mode could give fsd the all clear for any blind spots upon startup imo.
I'm a regular viewer of you guys at Farzad. Now subscribed to you also...
btw, the sound effect you have when captions fly in...is quite funny man...lol..!
I don’t understand why Tesla doesn’t make their computer chip and cameras easy to swap out where you just pop out the old cameras and put in higher resolution and the same with the computer
About upgrading the HW3 computer in older Tesla's to a custom HW4 computer. The engineering cost wouldn't be that bad when you figure the amount of units you need. Thing of the PC Motherboard Industry. As an owner of a HW3 car, I would be willing to pay to have my computer upgraded in my car, though I suspect everyone would want the upgrade for free, but if they haven't already bought FSD, they don't get it for free. IF they get FSD working on HW3 it's all moot I guess.
For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. I remember when i just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 i ended up selling it because i have lost alot trading all by myself without a guide. Got back into crypto early in 2024 with $20k and I'm up with $232k in a short period of time
I'm new to cryptocurrency and i don't understand how it really works. How can someone know the right approach to investing and making good profit from cryptocurrency investments?
As a beginner, what do i need to do? how can i invest, on which platform If you know any please share.
I started working with devion back in February, and my financial goals have been clearer. It's like having a strategic partner for my money with a solid track record.
She is really a good investment advisor. I was privileged to attend some of her seminars. That is how i started my crypto investment
I've seen different people talking about this alice devion she must be very amazing for people to talk this good about her.
I will have a look for it
I did see Chuck Cook and a lady driving a V12.5'3.1 I think and it did very well
Oops my bad v12.5.1.3
The fsd animations aren’t necessary for unsupervised fsd. I imagine recreating that 3d display eats up a fair amount of compute. It would be interested to know the amount of fsd usable compute is used for it. I would expect hw3 to sacrifice animation performance before fsd performance if needed, or given fsd non supervised
The visualization is not rendered by the inference computer. It sends a vectorial map of the surroundings and the type, position, orientation and bounding boxes of all the elements it recognizes on that map to the VCU to render. Whether it’s costly for the inference computer or not to produce those isn’t something we can be sure of without more insight into the stack. Either it’s the output of one of the steps (ie a vision model produces them anyways to feed them to the planning model) or it’s an extra step. The former is more likely IMHO but we can’t be sure.
@@YACINESEBTI yes, exactly what I assume, although more likely the later imo.
The question is can FSD determine something is underneath the car. Draging something stuck underneath can be horrible.
True but for now... It just has to be better than the good average driver. ?? Neighbor drags things under his car all the time...haha
Especially bodies
The biggest problem for Tesla in having to support HW3 is that it delays overall cycle time, as HW3 has to catchup and they can't move HW4 too fast as HW3 will never catch up.
The cost of replacing 2M cars FSD HW would be in the billions $1K*2M=$2B.
Those who can’t criticize,, these two are so good why aren’t they doing anything but rag rag rag
Cheers guys
Received my Model 3 last week and checked in detail if any camera angles are missing for save driving. Unfortunately the front camera position is not great during the event of overtaking a slow car in the city or on Non-highway roads.
As a driver I completely lean my head to the left and even drive like a few inches off lange to see if overtaking is safe right now. With the middle camera position it is impossible to get any Information for save overtaking as we habe seen in many FSD clips where the car thinks it is safe to overtake but is not.
I hope the changed to the front car that Elon mentioned for 10/10 is to add more cameras that are able to get those kind of Information.
I am sure Tesla engineers know the capabilities! Humm?
I rented and drove a 2018 M3 with HW3 that only had FSD 12.3.4 to see for myself, and it still drove me everywhere. I found myself preferring it, i.e. driving without it felt disappointing. It's situational awareness is excellent. The only thing that isn't perfect yet is occasional decision making when things aren't clear, and this was 7 versions ago. The only question I have as an investor is: "how far can they push HW3?" because that changes the investment thesis somewhat.
Really? How would that change the investment Thesis. The cost of what it takes to get FSD as perfect as possible will be peanuts compared to the revenue that Robotaxis will generate and moving most quickly will provide Tesla with a first mover advantage.
Hello guys
How many people with Hith hw3 actually paid for fsd ar 15000 or whatever the cost fot fsd If he actual take rate was low, wouldn't to be wore cost effective to offer a ccar to those with hw2 or 3, but never had a working or usable copy of fsd, close down fsd on hw2/3 a on andrellace the old cards with n wlh with hw4
And just maintain one thread of code. Fram a laymans perspective it seems that maintaining multiple versions of fsd would be a cost and maintenance nightmare
the amount of speculation of what could happen or how much money tesla can gain... The FSD has been less then amazing for the stock... Lets wait until they have something that works as intended and then talk about the gains...
I've been driving FSD for 2 years now - and it sucks.
It's 99% accurate with the latest version
but that 1% will kill you
FSD is SAE Level-2 certified according to AI
it is NOT L3 - only Mercedes has a SAE L3 autonomous driving system
L5 is needed for the RoboTaxi
probably 10+ years away
So elon should get FSD L3 certified first then brag about L5 is just "moments away"
and so will be the RoboTaxi
sure elon - sure
Got it

The Fed's talk of interest rate cut leaves me pondering what stocks to buy now and when do I sell? I'm unsure how to properly allocate my money to achieve an optimal portfolio in this present economy, my goal is $3m for retirement.
Navigating market volatility can be challenging, it might be beneficial consulting with an advisor to provide personalized insights based on your specific situation and financial position.
No doubt, getting proper financial advice is invaluable, my portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and just yielded 120% from early last year. I and my advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year.
I’ve been considering getting one, but haven't been proactive about it. Can you recommend your advisor? I could really use some assistance.
Lina Dineikiene is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’ll find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
Thank you for the recommendation. I'll send her an email and I hope I'm able to connect with her.
Not a fan of that rendering.
