    This is a really great tutorial! Thanks! I just want to add, I'm not using a worsted weight yarn (in Australia I think worsted is 10-12 ply and I'm only using 8ply) so I noticed with the arms and legs and the eyes they can tend to get a bit squished and misshapen while I'm working so for anyone else who might be having an issue like this, I find a standard ballpoint pen is a great size to just shove in there to force it out into a round shape again :)

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  4 года назад +1

      Hi Harry, you can use a chunkier yarn or try double stranding, or triple stranding your yarn to get a larger Yoshi. There's no easy mathematical way so far, at least that I've found, to making the pattern larger. My only recommendation is for each part is to think in terms of proportions. I also have designed a much larger Yoshi and that one is available as a premium pattern.

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  3 года назад

      You'll want to go through both layers of the fabric and also through all the loops. So just think like you're doing a regular stitch and go through both loops of the first layer and then also through both loops of the 2nd layer, and then finish up your stitch. I hope that makes sense!

    Great explanations, but way too fast crocheting for someone to follow along. I'm not even a newbie. Using a smaller hook and invisible decreases take longer to do.

    Loved your project but you were going a little fast, had to keep stopping the video , hard to keep up.

    How to make him twice as big? 😂

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  3 года назад

      You can try using chunkier yarn or double stranding, or even triple stranding the yarn.

      @@AmiAmour if you double strand yarn, do you have to compensate the hook size? Like if my yarn recommends a 4.5 nut I use two strands, do I need a hook twice as big? 😳

      You don't need a hook twice as big (that would be huge lol), but you will need one that is bigger. For double stranding worsted weight, acrylic yarn, I like to use a 6.5mm hook.
